Magic won 5 titles and he won them against some of the best Celtic teams ever and some of the best Pistons teams ever. He went up against Bird, McHale, Isaiah and the Bad Boys, helped retire Dr. J. He baptized John Stockton and Karl Malone. His rookie year(correct me if I am wrong) he filled in at center when Kareem went down because of a sprained ankle and carried the Lakers to the title. He added arguably 3-5 years to Kareem's career. He made James Worthy actually worthy. He made Byron Scott above average. He made Michael Cooper and Kurt Rambis the most reliable bench players in the 80's. He was a 6'9" point guard who truly was magical. I understand Big O was the true triple double king but at the end of the day point guards are judged by how they lead a team, can they make those around them better and can they win. What point guard did those things better than Magic? It took the greatest player of all time and HIV to stop Magic. Magic at the point all day for me. Agreed. And I'm not so sure Magic's not the greatest player of all time.

The greatest NBA dynasty just happened to be in the league during the start of his career. In 14 years of his career, the Celts won 9, the Knicks won 2, Wilt won 2 (Philly, LA) and Oscar and Lew won in '71.

PG - Magic SG - Jordan SF - James PF - Sir Charles C - Olajuwon You could shake it up and put Bird at PF. I kept it to wht they actually are listed at. James has to be in there over Bird regardless of how bad I don't want him to be.

Bird is an All-Time Great and Iconic (or as the Boston Mayor would say Ionic) player in the history of the league. Here is how I see the match up... Assist / Court vision...Tie, both accel at making others around them better Shooting...Bird FG-50% 3pt-38% FT-89% LeBron FG-48% 3pt-33% FT-74% Rebounding...Bird Bird 10.0rpg LeBron 7.1 LeBron relies on pure athleticism while Larry relied on smarts, positioning, and heart. Defense...LeBron Transition...Lebron Toughness...Bird Killer Instinct...Bird, on par with Jordans Intangables...BIRD
