If the BGP rules were to change......

Featured Replies

If the BGP rules changed and you could change your BGP name, what would your new name be? What would your new avatar look like to go with your new name?

I got to thinking back to when I picked my name and remember scrambling around in my mind to quickly come up with something. Some members names are very well thought out, but I bet a lot of you just picked something off of the top of your head likeI did. Now that you've had time to think it over what name would you choose now?

(I am NOT advocating a rule change BTW)

At one time I wanted to change it to RebelPride12 but to be honest I'd probably stay with PurplePride92. My alma mater and my graduation year define me pretty well.

I nearly signed a check one day "spindoc". So, I'm not sure what I'd change it to. Maybe Randy Parker.

I've got a feeling most of the longtime vets would stick with their current name. People call me DragonFire in public, so I couldn't fathom changing it.

Heck more people know me by TOG than by my real name!

Wouldn't change it. I was using it as a gag name several years before I discovered BGP.

85 Bears Fan does not mean that I am from Chicago or anything like that. I was 8-9 years old and the Super Bowl Shuffle was the first rap song I knew all the words to. I loved Mike Richardson's; Richard Dent's; Mike Singletary's; and Steve Fuller's; and Gary Fencik's parts. But in my formative years or just before them, the 85 Bears were the best team I'd ever seen. Then Dallas came along. I think the 90s Cowboys would edge the 85 Bears because of Michael Irvin.

So my new name would be 92CowboysFan

Agree. Same here I will be out and someone will yell, hey Goldie.

I'm perfectly content with Hangman. And I don't even know where it came from.

I know the feeling. A lot of people call me PurplePride in public.

I wish I didn't use all caps. I was a newbie to the net and didn't realize all caps represented yelling.

I'd keep mine even though I have mellowed quite a bit. The "madman" is not nearly as "mad" as he used to be.

I guess I'd keep it. I don't know what I'd change it to otherwise. Part of the reason I chose it was to be contrarian. I suppose it still fits.
