June 4, 201214 yr 85 Bears Fan does not mean that I am from Chicago or anything like that. I was 8-9 years old and the Super Bowl Shuffle was the first rap song I knew all the words to. I loved Mike Richardson's; Richard Dent's; Mike Singletary's; and Steve Fuller's; and Gary Fencik's parts. But in my formative years or just before them, the 85 Bears were the best team I'd ever seen. Then Dallas came along. I think the 90s Cowboys would edge the 85 Bears because of Michael Irvin. So my new name would be 92CowboysFan Special place in my heart..."We are the Bears, shuffling crew, shuffling on down, doing it for you. We're so bad, we can't be wrong, ... (help me out, 85BearsFan)! : 2 major events stay with me always: As a desk receptionist at Schroeder Hall at Marquette University, January, 1986. We witnessed the Shuttle going down on the student lounge TV. ( never ever forget that) Then on that same student lounge TV, we saw da Bears win the Superbowl. (Lots of MU kids from Chicago!)

June 4, 201214 yr This is tough for me. Am I remembering right that you get three choices for a user name when you first join? I'm pretty sure I had to put three names out there & Randy Parker was #1. I can't remember the other two, because Randy Parker is what I wanted. Someone has to stand up for the most underrated character in cinematic history. Ralphie gets all the publicity, but we all know that Randy is the glue that holds that movie together. I have actually tried to get my Dad to join BGP & have him select the user name "Old Man Parker." He's a huge fan of the film, he's my Dad & I thought it would go over really well. He didn't. :lol: So I guess I can't imagine being anyone else. Probably something dumb like "Clizzy's Boy" or "Richie Farmer's Mustache" or "Scut Farkus" or "WillIeverfindoutwhyhechoseHabibforaname" or maybe even something like "formerkentuckybasketballplayerwhodidn'tdomuchofanythingexcepthandwatertotheplayerswhoactuallyplayed."

June 4, 201214 yr I can't imagine I would change mine. I am slightly less zealous about it than I once was, but that is simply on account of mellowing out and getting older. I still remember rockmom and TonyDanza telling me how much I used to irritate both of them in the high school forum and we were pulling for the same team.
