May 30, 201214 yr I'm about half way through James Patterson's 11th hour Just now finished "Guilty Wives". Ready to start "Private Games". Lucked out the the library and snagged LARGE PRINT versions of both!
May 30, 201214 yr Author Read the Hunger Games trilogy a while back; they weren't bad at all for young adult stuff. The first was the best of the three; brought up a couple of interesting ethical issues. I didn't think that the second two installments broke a lot of new ground.
May 31, 201214 yr I finished Stephen Ambrose's Band of Brothers yesterday afternoon. I have such a respect for our military, and especially our veterns. Double that when it comes to WWII veterns, and I am fascinated by those who fault against the Nazi's in Europe from 1944-45. I always really enjoyed the mini-series, but I enjoyed this book just as much. If anyone has any recommendations of other books in regards to WWII, specifically the European theatre, I'd appreciate it. I have already read Brothers in Better * Best of Friends, which is Wild Bill Guarnere and Babe Heffron's account of Easy Company.
May 31, 201214 yr The next book I plan on starting is, Auschwitz by Laurence Rees. I can't remember who it was but a BGP member recommended it a while back.
May 31, 201214 yr Well as I am at work and trying to avoid working I am reading BGP and wikipedia for random military topics. Apparently if you take the tonnage of all aircraft carriers in service, under construction or in reserve in the world currently the U.S. has 5.28 times the tonnage of the rest of the world's aircraft carriers combined. In fact just 3 of our carriers would be sufficient to be surpass the rest of the world. I am seriously trying to avoid work. :lol:
June 3, 201214 yr Finished "Coup D'etat" by Ben Coes - Dewey Andreas series. Good stuff - like Vince Flynn's Mitch Rapp series. Started a book called "Like Any Other Day" that takes you through the journey of a family with a paralyzed son and the brother who sneaks him away to Dr Kevorkian.
June 5, 201214 yr I'm reading the second book of a trilogy called The Clifton Chronicles bt Jeffrey Archer. If you have never read him and like a great story teller, I'd highly recommend him.

June 8, 201214 yr I just started "Private: #1 Suspect" by James Patterson Sent from my HTC Android using Forum Runner I like the "Private" series of James Patterson. Reading--"Private Games" right now. Set in London with the theme being the 2012 Olympic Games. Page turner!
