May 24, 201214 yr KSR says that UK will no longer be going to DC to play Georgetown the SEC/Big East Challenge.
May 25, 201214 yr Not sure it is possible because both are scheduled to be on the road. Gotcha. Who are the eligible teams besides UC?
May 25, 201214 yr Gotcha. Who are the eligible teams besides UC? The following Big East teams played on the road in last year's challenge: Providence, St. John's, Georgetown, Cincinnati, Pittsburgh, & West Virginia. Additionally, these four teams did not participate at all in last year's challenge: Notre Dame, Marquette, South Florida & Villanova. Probably easier to explain the teams that aren't eligible to host a game: DePaul, Syracuse, Louisville, Seton Hall, Connecticut & Rutgers. FWIW...Matt Jones, before going on vacation last week, tweeted this on May 18th: "And keep this in mind...Baylor & Notre Dame." Cats are going to South Bend IMO. It would make sense, due to the fact that no one would give a hoot about watching that game...much like last year's St. John's game.
May 25, 201214 yr I hope it's not Notre Dame (can't explain why, just don't like playing Notre Dame). Cincinnati would be interesting. I have a lot of relatives in the Northern Kentucky and Southwest Ohio area that would love to see that matchup.
May 26, 201214 yr Would seem senseless to play Notre Dame when they just played in the SEC/Big East Challenge two seasons ago. '09 Connecticut '10 Notre Dame '11 St. John's '12 ............

Could it be that this is the game (ND) in Indianapolis that Cal is referring too?

You're preaching to the choir here. St. John's made little sense last year & I'm afraid that's what will happen this year.
May 29, 201214 yr Could it be that this is the game (ND) in Indianapolis that Cal is referring too? Pretty sure it is home venues only, so doubt that would happen. Marquette or Nova would make sense for one reason and one reason only....both play in NBA arenas so it wouldn't be a true road game for UK. I'd be very surprised if ESPN sent the Cats to a true road venue like UC or Pitt. Notre Dame would even surprise me, to be honest.
