What was the final of the Bombers game?

I was told that the Hoyas wasnt the only other team with Seniors either.

 

It wouldn't surprise me.

Bombers got beat by around 30 or so points but Im not posting this for that reason. We just played a bad game. Rules are rules and thats my reason for asking about it.

Nothing against the kids either. They play if the coach tells them its ok to. Anyway, whats done is done.

Sounds strange to me.

Up until about three years ago UNSIGNED seniors were allowed to play in the State AAU Tourney, but not anymore. It will be interesting to see if the KBA does anything about it, not sure why they didn't make sure all players were eligible before everyones first game.

 

As far as I know, no signed senior is allowed to play on any spring/summer team.

 

If true, this is what ticks people off about the AAU state tourney, sometimes they enforce the rules, abd sometimes they don't.

I thought unsigned seniors couldn't play and was told that by somebody in the know. Having said that, I just went to AAU handbook and found this. I didn't look real hard but I didn't see an unsigned senior reference. So I guess if the below is the correct answer, their age may make them eligible.

 

11th Grade Division

ii. An athlete must be in the 11th grade as of October 1, 2011 can be no older than 18 on August 31, 2012. For an athlete that is in the 12th grade as of October 1st, 2011 wanting to play down, in the 11th grade division they can be no older than 17 on August 31,2012

On the mobile now so can't really check which bylaws they are, but depending on what level of college the kid signed, they could be in trouble with the NCAA

It has to do with their age and there have not been any rules violations with aau and no violations with ncaa. The coaches and parents have cleared it with the appropriate governing authorities.

Here’s a few things from Saturday:

 

• Hoop Dreams-Maxey is rolling through the 16s division. The pre-tournament favorites started the day with a 20-point win over Crons. Johnson Central’s Shane Hall (photo) had 13 points and eight blocks in the game. In a 95-62 win over First Step, Hall had 14 points and Marshall County’s Austin Rentfrow added 13.

 

 

• The Magic Black team started the day with a blowout of the Madison County Colonels with Lafayette’s Jackson Davis scoring 25 points to lead the way, while Dixie Heights’ Brandon Hatton added 22. The Magic had a close call against Crons, claiming a 74-71 win over the team with a lot of Northern Kentucky players in bracket play. Lexington Catholic’s Dillon Avare had 24 points, including seven three-pointers in the game. Hatton added 22 points, including four three-pointers.

 

• In the close loss, Simon Kenton’s Riley Barnes hit seven three-pointers for 21 points for Crons. Brossart’s Justin Saunders added 20 points.

 

• The Ville is also cruising, decking Charlotte Court early in the day 95-59. Madison Central’s Dominique Hawkins led the way with 19, while Trinity’s Darryl Hicks had 12. The Ville blasted the Louisville Storm in bracket play with Ballard’s Lavonne Holland scoring 26 points. Hicks added 19 for The Ville.

 

• The Charlotte Court 16s team started the day with a 93-80 loss to Next Level but then beat Crons in the playoff game 76-64. Montgomery County’s Austin Crisp had 17 points in the win over Crons. Bryan Station’s Daiquice Allen had 22 points in the loss, while Fleming County’s Darion Burns had 15 points and seven rebounds.
