I don't think that would be an upset. Hoop Dreams completely different team this year. Morton, Smith, etc. etc. no longer with the team. I haven't seen them play, but saw their roster and they are still a good team but not with the names they previously had. I saw on another thread where Bombers won a tournament, so I would expect it to be a good game.

 

I think The Ville has to be the favorite in 17U. Of course, that is depending on how the Louisville Magic splits their players. While all are talented, they could make one team better than the other. If they do that with talents like Snider, Willis and Russell (etc. etc. etc), I would put them up there with The Ville. If they split it down the middle, then I think the 2 Louisville Magic teams would then be the 2nd and 3rd favorites in the field. After that, I think the rest of the field is pretty even and could beat each other on any given day. Last year, Crons was the surprise of the 16U tournament by reaching the semifinals. I haven't studied the brackets hard enough to see how the tournament matchups would be, but after watching the BA Hoyas earlier this spring I will take them as my sleeper pick (of course, I also saw them with Brian Stone of Collins and he will be ineligible for this tournament so that will hurt).

 

In 16U, Hoop Dreams - Maxey is a HUGE favorite I would think. Kind of disappointed the Louisville Magic isn't playing their normal 16U team in the field because that would have been a great matchup, possibly the best of the weekend. I actually think Hoop Dreams - Maxey should be playing in the 17U field as well. Possible better competition. Of course, I don't know this age group as well, so maybe I am missing a team that will give them fits.
