April 26, 201214 yr If the Cleveland Browns select running back Trent Richardson tonight, the greatest Browns running back of them all will not be impressed. Jim Brown said today on ESPN Radio that he doesn’t think Richardson is a great running back who’s going to make a great impact in Cleveland. “I’m not overwhelmed with it,” Brown said of the idea that the Browns could take Richardson. “The problem is that he’s ordinary. I think he’s ordinary.” Jim Brown not impressed with “ordinary” Trent Richardson | ProFootballTalk ========================== Call them like you see them Jim!!!
April 26, 201214 yr He never likes anyone. I loved Richardson at Bama and hope he does well in NFL, but not sure if he has enough speed to be great.
April 26, 201214 yr He could at least wait and see how the kid does on the field before he bashes him.
April 27, 201214 yr He's gotta be one of the most angry people of all time. Then again, he grew up a threatening black man in the 1950s and 60s. Lots to be angry about and probably pretty hard to get over, considering some of the things he probably had to put up with given his high profile as a football star and actor. That any black person who came of age in that era could have a sunny disposition is incomprehensibly amazing.
April 27, 201214 yr The man is simply consumed with his legacy being diminished by more current NFL backs and tries to maintain this legacy by bashing anyone he sees as a threat. He really needs to understand and accept that he will always be considered as one of, if not "the", all-time best RB and let others have their time in the sunshine without his unwarranted criticisms.
April 27, 201214 yr If I was Trent Richardson, this would be my biggest motivation. He needs to act like Michael Jordan in this situation. If he wasn't in the Bengals division, it would make me want to see him do well!
April 27, 201214 yr I have a difficult time taking anyone who has posed for Playgirl seriously. How dare you say that about Gator McKlusky and Paul Crewe?!?!
