April 23, 201214 yr I was wondering the same thing. Why did Harden go up almost as if he was going to guard Artest, when his team was getting the inbounds? While the elbow by Artest is wrong and he should be suspended for it, Harden is a moron for doing what he did as well. Harden is a moron for what exactly? Standing in the way of Artests flying elbow? Harden did nothing wrong.

You know Artest is physical and a loose cannon, dont go all up on him when its not necessary. Artest was celebrating, Harden stuck his face right there, you can clearly see the look on Artest face as if he was thinking, your really gonna get up on me like that, ok here it comes.

April 23, 201214 yr He did nothing wrong but knew what he was doing getting in his way... if that makes sense. Its like seeing Mike Tyson going off on one of his tirads and jumping right in front of him to say hi, and Tyson knocks you 3 days into next week. Moronic.

You are just making excuses for Artest. Players run into each other all the time on the court. If you watch the first replay it happens so fast I don't even know that Harden bumped into him on purpose.

Harden knew he was making getting in Artest way.
April 23, 201214 yr ^ When we watched the highlight at work we all said the same thing. Harden made first contact. Does that mean Artest should have elbowed him in the face? No. But if you walk into the lion's den and get eaten don't ask why. As Bugatti said, these guys do this all the time(pushing or nudging the celebrator). Petty gamesmanship is the best way to describe it.
April 23, 201214 yr Wasn't as bad as the fight that almost broke out in my men's league game last night haha!

Again, not remotely condoning the leagues biggest idiot (and think of that list). Just saying that Harden confronted him to some extent, or so it appeared to me.

As soon as contact was made Artest threw the elbow. And he knew what he was doing because his elbow brushed Hardens shoulder. I still stand by my statement that Harden did nothing wrong.

And no person is saying he did anything wrong, per se, but he knew what he was doing getting in his way. That in no way exonerates World War for his actions though.

Harden is walking towards the baseline to take the in bounds. He catches Artest coming towards him and puts an arm up to absorb the impact. That contact happens ALL THE TIME when a guard is running down to take the in bounds pass and the other player is running back to get on D. Trying to blame Harden for anything proves that you're absolutely incapable of being impartial here.

Forgive me for being smart enough to not walk in Artest's path while he's celebrating a dunk like a wild animal. Seeing all sides of an issue makes you impartial.....that's a first. Wait....you being impartial would be a first.
