NEERFAN
When i saw it happen live I thought it could have been incidental but after seeing replays there is no way you can defend him. I just saw this and thought the same thing until I saw the second angle. He has several screws loose and for the life of me I can't stop thinking about the backcourt pass he made in the closing seconds of the Hornets game. ladiesbballcoach
@MettaWorldPeace: I just watched the replay again..... Oooo.. My celebration of the dunk really was too much... Didn't even see James ..... Omg... Looks bad
born2reign
Stu Jackson will let him take the rest of the season off, I imagine. He may have cost his team a shot at the title with that elbow.
HammerTime
I'm not defending what he did, but I don't think he intended to elbow the guy in the head. If that elbow hits the arm, back, shoulder, then play doesn't even stop because no one even really noticed it until Harden was on the ground. The ejection was warranted and he should be suspended the last game of the regular season and game 1 of the playoffs. Was it a stupid move, absolutely. Did he mean to hit the guy after they ran into each other while he was celebrating, Yes. Did he mean to elbow the guy in the back of the head, No. I can see that. I gotta go to work
There's no way he should be suspended for the entire playoffs. 2 games.

sportsfan41
Wonder if Law enforcement would consider charging him criminally? He obviously assaulted him... Not saying they will, but they could right? Was wondering the same thing and there were quite a few witnesses....
halfback20
Was wondering the same thing and there were quite a few witnesses.... it's on video so witnesses don't add much unless they heard him say something about hitting him.
PurplePride92
If Artest is charged then they need to charge Dwyane Wade for his elbow shove of Rip Hamilton last week.
PurplePride92
Really? The elbow was part of the celebration? Come on... Yes. I can see him not meaning to nail him in the head.
halfback20
If Artest is charged then they need to charge Dwyane Wade for his elbow shove of Rip Hamilton last week. Theres a difference between a shove and an elbow to someone's head.
halfback20
Yes. I can see him not meaning to nail him in the head. Might be believable if it weren't Ron Artest that we were talking about.
D-Rob
Any suspension past 1 game goes into the playoffs. Remember that.
PurplePride92
Theres a difference between a shove and an elbow to someone's head. Wade intentionally shoved Rip in the ribs with his elbow. Does assault only count if someone is struck in the head? Wade's intent was clear.
PurplePride92
Might be believable if it weren't Ron Artest that we were talking about. Guilty by reputation. The fact that Harden was hit in the head is the problem. Had it been his shoulder nobody would care.
