Coach Cal and the National Championship Trophy Tour

Featured Replies

Coach Cal will kick off his tour with the National Championship Trophy on Thursday at the Ashland Kroger from 1p-2p. Fans will be able to have their picture taken with the trophy, and ask Coach Cal, and the other UK coaches questions. The tour will include several stops along the way including Pikeville, Hazard, Nicholasville, Frankfort, Elizabethtown, Owensboro and Paducah. The last step of the tour will be in Louisville. :D:D

Not to be outdone, I hear Coach Pitino will be traveling around Louisville that same day wearing his bronze medal.:sssh: :D:D:lol:

Sorry UofL fans, I couldn't resist. :D

Did Sears give a crystal ball trophy this year? I don't remember seeing it during the Final Four telecast.

I know that in '96 and '98 UK brought the crystal trophy to the post-tournament celebrations at Rupp.

Thought it was strange and some what poor planning that they're not going any where north of 64 really(unless you want to consider Ashland north of 64). Not even Maysville area where one of the key players for this team is from.

Agreed. Stupid if you ask me.

I hear he has added a special "Ladies Only" portion. It will be held close to closing time at Porcini's

Shouldn't be hard to go. I hear it won't last long...

Haha ya that's pretty much what I was getting at as well. When they announced it last night via twitter I responded and asked "why no NKY?", but never saw any response. Just seem like some really poor planning.

Make sure they put that banner up with velcro. With ole Cal you have about a 67% chance the Final Four will be vacated in the near future. :p Saw that posibility in my crystal ball Billy Gillespie gave me...or was that Eddie Sutton?

Can you say "Friends of Coal"

Because Pitino mentioned how happy he was with the bronze medal a couple of times. I just had to throw it out there.

LRCW, I know most people hang their medals around their necks. What is Coach Casanova hanging his around?

Well it would be to small to get over his head, so I'm going have to say he'll make Joanne or little Ricky carry it.

I plan on being in Ashland in the morning.

Frankfort is north of I-64, and a pretty short drive from NoKy. It might do some of the NoKy folks some good to get outside of the I-275 loop for a change and see what the rest of Kentucky looks like.
