April 11, 201214 yr As like the previous thread, we will keep this thread open till midnight, then anyone is welcome to start the Reds @ Nationals thread.
April 11, 201214 yr They've got to get him in the rotation. And that was five pretty good hitters he K'd today!
April 11, 201214 yr I'm very glad that Heisey came up big today. He let me down the last two nights a little.
April 11, 201214 yr Pinch-hitter Chris Heisey's RBI single off Cardinals reliever Fernando Salas with one out in the bottom of the ninth gave the Cincinnati Reds a 4-3 victory over the Cardinals today before another small gathering of friends and family at Great American Ball Park. Heisey's hit helped the Reds avoid a sweep by the first-place Cardinals (5-2) and made a winner of overpowering reliever Aroldis Chapman. Joey Votto, who doubled off Marc Rzepczynski to start the ninth, scored the winning run. Read more: Walk-off hit beats Cards
April 11, 201214 yr Chapman has to be starting. Bailey gets no more chances. Bailey pitched well after the 1st inning the other night. I'm pretty sure he'll get more chances.
April 11, 201214 yr Cards take 2 of 3. Whoop ti do. We aren't even a week into the season. In fact, with the way the Reds won today's game, if either team gains anything momentum/confidence wise from this series, it is probably the Reds. But I don't really buy that either. Like I said, whoop ti do ... moving on to the next series.

April 11, 201214 yr Yeah it's a good thing that a win in August counts more than a win in April. It doesn't but it's the sixth game of the season. I'm not ready to freak out they aren't playing like fine-tuned machine.
April 11, 201214 yr Well I thought it would be good to have threads concerning the games between the Cards and the Reds since they were such rivals but I guess not especially from the St. Louis area's point of view. I'm really tiring of the absolute nonsense that is being caused because of threads concerning the Cardinals. I have better things to do with my time. I'm taking a break from this mess.

What are you talking about? We have enjoyed everyone's point of view in this series thread.
April 11, 201214 yr Well, we discussed this very thing at length. Non issue if you pay attention to the minutia.
April 12, 201214 yr We are how many games into the season and some of you all are ready to throw the team under the bus? They should start distributing Valium at GABP. Reading this thread you'd think the Reds were 20 games under .500 Good thing it'll be closed in 2 hours.
