Of course it's not offensive or degrading, but if no one makes such a claim there can be no lawsuit.

Really? I'm the only one?

What a pear shaped loser.
The photographer probably had assurances from school officials that all the kids had signed the necessary release consent forms. What seems likely is that the kids went home and told their parents it was picture day, and the parents decided after the fact they didn't want their kid in the photo (after likely ignoring the letters the school sent home relating to such matters). That, or the school just messed up by allowing the kid to sit for the photo when they knew (but didn't double-check) that the kids' parents didn't want them photographed.

Why do parents have to sign a consent form for picture day? Honestly, this is the first time I've ever heard of that.

Its todays world CC, permission forms for everything.

Retake the pic and move on...it's funny and nowhere near offensive.

I can't stop coming back to this picture and laughing.

'Offensive'and 'degrading'? They should have seen the BGP Reds game photo from 9 years ago, that was offensive and degrading. LOL!

Worst case scenario...a sexual predator gets a copy of the photo, fixates on your kid. Know he has your child's name and photograph.

I'm glad To find out I'm not the only who found this hilarious...

A longtime co-worker and track each other down several times a week to share our latest work "Seinfeldisms." One time during a meeting, after a particularly great idea that I shared, I stood up and said, "That's it! You've all been great! I'm outta here!"

That is absolutely ridiculous on so many levels.

Is that seriously the reason that schools give for requiring parental consent?
