March 14, 201214 yr Only about 2 miles from my house "as the crow flies" or "plane flies" or about 4 miles on the road. I haven't been that way today but according to the map it looks like it landed on former Cooper baseball player Jon Williamsons home. The road is named after his grandfather, I believe.

March 14, 201214 yr We had a small 2 seater plane crash in a rural cemetary here a few years ago. By the time the local rescue squad was finished, they had recovered 15 bodies.:lol:
March 15, 201214 yr I drove by and took a look. As I expected he was only about 50 yards from a wide open field. The plane was facing a different direction from the field so he must of not been able to see it in the dark. The inspector or "suit" said one of the locals saw him circle once before crashing. He had heard the guy may not make it through the night. I saw the plane about 40 feet from the road and don't know how he survived this long.

March 15, 201214 yr Man, Houston Road has really grown over since I drove on it last week... :lol: It's all of this early spring like weather. The Boone County road works guys just can't keep up, I think I heard one of them use the term "agressive growth" which naturally made me chuckle.
