March 10, 201214 yr Great trade for the Rams.... No doubt, they definitely have a great opportunity with their draft picks.
March 10, 201214 yr Is it just me or did the Rams absolutely fleece the Skins? Rams didn't need that pick anyways since they have Bradford. Won't know who did the best on the trade until we see how all the players pan out. Many people thought San Diego robbed the Giants with the Rivers/Manning trade. We see how that worked out though.
March 10, 201214 yr I think if you are a St Louis fan you have to be really excited about Fischer coming and now all the picks to build around Bradford. Blackmond would be one heck of a start! They got A LOT! The Skins have needed a QB forever. RG3 fits exactly what Shanahan wants from a QB. I think it's a great fit for him other than their skill players are some of the worst in the NFL! They will always be able to run the ball some though which will help. Great fit system wise for RG3. I think it's a win win but I would rather be St Louis getting all the picks.
March 10, 201214 yr If the Bengals were where the Rams are, Mike Brown I think would've turned the trade down.

Many people thought San Diego robbed the Giants with the Rivers/Manning trade. We see how that worked out though. True, but back then BOTH teams needed aQB. That trade was more about Eli wanting NYG and the Giants Eli.had Eli been indifferent then he'd probably be a Charger. I think that was a win-win. Giants got 2 Lombardi trophies and the Chargers were horrible back then and they got a lot better with the picks, etc. The Rams didn't need nor were they going to pick RG3. So they basically got a lot of picks and it's probably not affected who they were going to take anyway. Rams made out like bandits. Giving up that much didn't do RG3 any favors. Skins get there QB who isn't a sure thing, and they give up valuable picks that could help him. Daniel Snyder is a moron.
March 10, 201214 yr On the radio today they said that this does not have any impact on the Redskins pursuit of Peyton Manning. Don't buy it, but that's what was said.

PM is a fantasy for Redskin fans. Too reasons he won't go there: 1) They are the fourth best team in a four team division 2) Same division as Eli
March 10, 201214 yr 1. I'm not sold on RG3 especially enough to give up all the 1st round picks. 2. Peyton Manning is not playing for Shanahan and his son.
March 10, 201214 yr It's definitely a gamble. If RGIII is a franchise QB, the picks are worth it. With the additional picks, the Rams still have the flexibility to move up the board and draft Blackmon. That is their biggest need. Knowing Fisher they go corner.

March 11, 201214 yr As a Ram fan I was hoping for 2 #1's this year plus other picks, but this looks to be a good trade as the picks for the next year or so from the Skins look to be pretty high picks. Don't know if they can get Blackmon or franchise LT at #6 which they were in line to do. I would like Rams to trade up for Blackmon as long as the price isn't too steep.
