  1. One middle school softball coach in our district has a team rule that all players wear a mask. Even outfielders.
  2. Before the Sweet 16, TN Tech was his only D1 offer. I've been kind of out of the loop since then. Lots of D2 and NAIA offers.
  3. The thing about Pitino is that the guys who he gives those spots to really do have a chance to earn clock. The kid from CAL and the kid before him that played at Frankfort High both had some opportunities. He doesn't use them just for practice dummies that the walk-ons at UK. I'm glad to hear that Trent has another option.
  4. My buddy (who is a teacher at SCHS) said that Long was in his class today and has been there consistently since the state tournament ended. IMO this thread should be closed.
  5. I wish he would have stayed so we could see him continue to develop. As far as kids moving in and out goes... we live in a mobile society. Families move in and out of Scott Co all the time and for all kinds of reasons.
  6. The kid can play. Huge upside. Harper knows how to recruit and develop players. Good luck to Green in BG.
  7. Great school. I wish this young man nothing but the best at Gtown.
  8. KHSAA.tv | Kentucky High School Athletic Association Try this
  9. https://www.youtube.com/embed/rCbkD5nvEx8 Hard for a Scott Co fan like me to watch but I thought some of my Cov Cath BGP buds would enjoy.
  10. Anyone know the story at Bryan Station? I thought Michael Allen did a good job.
  11. Tuition usually helps create a certain culture all by itself. Long came a long way with his play and with his attitude this year. If you don't know where he started, it might not seem like it, but a LOT of improvement was made in both areas.
  12. The Blue Crew at Montgomery Co was formed after the Indians played a game at Cov Cath and a student who made the trip decided to organize the kids in Mt Sterling. They aren't the crazies but they do have rehearsals and are entertaining. Imitation is the most sincere form of flattery. Te crazies rock.
  13. Facts: Gilbert has an offer from Tn Tech. Winthrop is going to offer next week. He can play D1 if he chooses to. I know he was hoping to be a niche player at a higher level school. Rumor: Ole Miss expressed some interest this weekend.
  14. I never could make out what they were saying but I love it when the opposing crowd does an Oscar Mayer Bologna chant, the crazies drown them out.
  15. Sad, sad news. Makes missing a few free throws quite insignificant. Prayers for the families of these kids.
  16. For the record, I thought the officials did a fine job today in the finals.
  17. Coach Hicks cut his teeth in the 13th region where he learned to distrust officials. Especially those who had standing accounts at Coach Keith's clothing store.
  18. Congrats to Cov Cath. They played their hearts out and totally earned the win. Great defense on Gilbert really rattled him more than I have ever seen. Even with his poor shooting, for him to miss two free throws, both on the front end of 1+1 was shocking.
  19. Isn't the Scott Co of old. What does that mean?
