Raekwon Long back to North Carolina?

Featured Replies

Sorry if I'm late on this, but was told last night that he has moved back to NC and won't be back at Scott CO or playing with Travelers this year.

Saw it mentioned in the AAU thread but thought it deserved it's own thread.

Sounds like he will be at Carmel Christian in Charlotte.

First I've heard about this. Is this confirmed?

Someone who would know told me last night that it was confirmed. Said he moved right after the state championship game against Covcath.

Dang, you going to break it on Twitter? Let me know if you do and I'll RT you and use it in an article.

2016 C Raekwon Long will be attending Carmel Christian in Charlotte, NC next season. Spent past year at Scott County HS in Kentucky.

Supposedly left the next day after the championship game...and this surprises anyone how???

Which kid was this for Scott County? The 7 footer?

Yes

many fans were saying he was leaving after the tourney during the sweet 16 so I don't think it came as a surprise to the Cardinals.

If that is the case then IMO he should have been ineligible to play. I'm all for kids transferring and have no issue with this but a kid with intentions to leave school as soon as the tourney is over really rubs me the wrong way.

This really irks me too.

This.

Reminds me of Andrew Gaze from Seton Hall back in the day. Was on a plane to Australia a day or two after the NCAA title game, if I remember correctly (and there's a chance I don't).
