Scott vs Augusta (10th Region, 1st Round)
Plato replied to BaseballIsLife's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
??? didn't they just win a game and only scored 39 ??? Running might not be the best option if both these teams make it to the semi-finals. -
Dead horse.

I enjoy watching the Lafayette coach for obvious reasons...

Montgomery Co. 62 Clark Co. 61 (40th District)
Plato replied to kysportsfan4life's topic in KY Girls Basketball (High School)
As I posted on the boys forum, WHERE WERE ALL THE CARDINAL FANS TONIGHT? The boys team got back from their game tonight and including the team members that stayed there couldn't have been more than 150 fans on the home team's side. I would guess that there were 400 or so Montgomery Co. fans there... That's a pretty darn good GRC girls team and they almost pulled an upset tonight. It's a shame that they had so little community support tonight. Congrats to the Indians. After going up by 19, the girls relaxed a bit too much and made too many turnovers, but in the end hit the free throws it took. Way to go girls. Good luck in the regional. -
Did everyone from Winchester have UK tickets tonight? There may have been 350 from GRC at the boys game tonight and there couldn't have been more than 150 from GRC at the girls championship game IN WINCHESTER. Sad. I bet a few more come over to Mt. Sterling on Friday night for the finals. It should be a great game.

Scott County 75 Henry Clay 62

What a district. This is the 3rd straight year that Henry Clay doesn't make it to the regional tournament. There are a lot of teams still playing that couldn't stay within 20 of the Blue Devils. Congrats to Scott Co. The finals of this district between SC and Station should be quite a show. -

Jimmy Dale Hicks has a deep understanding that the regular season is all just a practice for the real show at tournament time. He may be the best coach in the state at getting his team to rise to the occasion in March (or late Feb.). Congrats to the Cougars! -
I believe the format is: Opening round Wed and Thurs niight Semi Finals Saturday afternoon Finals Sunday Afternoon same as last year I think.

Shocked. Congrats to Coach Simms and the Wildcats... After a tough year it's pretty cool for them to make it to the region. -
Go Tribe.

Montgomery Co. -
End of 1st Quarter - 21-20 Montgomery 3 minutes to go in the 3rd Quarter - game tied at 37 It was all Manual from there on out. The quickness bothered the Tribe on both ends. Stephens was the lone bright spot. He had 24 and 8

The Indians travel to Louisville tonight to take on Manual. It should be a tough game for the Tribe and help get them prepared for the tournament. I don't know much about Manual other than I heard they won the LIT. Any thoughts?

Aaron Morris: MCHS Leading Scorer
Plato replied to MCHSindians08's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
That's quite an accomplishment. There have been some good players at Madison Central. Who did he pass to take the all-time lead? The kid is a stud. I wonder what his college options are at this point. -
Front Runner for Mr. Basketball Right Now
Plato replied to bigblueinsanity's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
Miller has put on quite a show in high profile games: @ Tates Creek's Mr. Basketball Classic he had 40something v/s Lex Cath at Memorial and on TV he won the game in dramatic fashion v/s Elliott Co. the other night he dominated with Billy G watching -
Harrison made a surge when they got Talbot back, but have not had great showings lately. Montgomery looked rusty for the first half against Rowan Tuesday after 12 days without a game. I expect the Indians to get back on track with a solid win on the road. Any thoughts?

He (Pettit) had a nice game tonight in Mt. Sterling- he put up 21 and 8 according to the MCHS web site. (it should probably be pointed out that he gave up 19 and 10 to Stephens too)
-
and more importantly - where was the administration???
-
Catch him in the summer. He plays harder on his aau team than he does for his high school team.
