  1. That's what happens when mom, aunt, and sister are all the same person.
  2. I vote that the KHSAA mandate that all districts seed.
  3. I was basing this on what I saw earlier this year at Tates Creek's event and at Montgomery Co. for the prep classic. Not an over-abundance of blue shirts there. It's yet to be seen if 2500 will be willing to make the trip down for a marquee regional tourney game. My bet is that many won't - claiming it's too far or the road is too bad or whatever. I hope there are many Mason fans who are willing to come to this game tomorrow. The MCHS Arena feels empty unless there are over 2000 there. It sure was rocking for the Clark Co. game last week.
  4. shocked by this one. I guess coach Hatcher's kids are getting his system - kind of like UK?
  5. According to the Lex. Herald, GRC is #2 and Montgomery is #3 in the region...:irked: It should be a fun game. I don't think the crowd will be anything spectacular. Mason doesn't travel so well - they are used to just walking over to the fieldhouse.
  6. What a great educational lesson regarding supply and demand... IMO they should not benefit the same, just have the same opportunity. This would be my argument with the Title 9 issues as well, but that's probably a different thread.
  7. IMO when the university exploits a specific student athlete in order to make money, that athlete should get some of the profits... Example - Patrick Patterson should make a certain amount from every PP 54 jersey that is sold. I also think the athletes should be able to market themselves through barnstorming tours, speaking engagements, and other public appearances. If someone is willing to pay them for things other than specifically on the court/field play, they should be able to capitolize on that. The university can't get everyone a job as sweet as Commissioner of Agriculture or NBA player - when they are finished with their eligibility.
  8. No. MC led by about 25 when the starters were pulled. It was 59-38 at the end of the 3rd quarter.
  9. No, Crisp played but didn't score Ian Danis was the young man who was sick.
  10. 14 players played. 7 scored. 1 other player was home sick.
  11. Indians play everyone in this one. It wasn't as close as the final score. MC Clark 10, Stull 10, Rash 14 and 8, Hendrix 11, Stephens 19 and 12, Gibbons 2, Combs 4 BC Wigglesworth 11, McFarland 7, Hogue 2, Sallee 8 and 12, Lynch 12, Graham 18 MC - BC by quarter 21-11 23-16 15-11 11-20 Stephens dominated in this one. Rash with another good game.
  12. Solid win for GRC. On the road, on a school night against a tough Northern Ky team. You gotta know that Coach Humphrey loves to go back and beat his rivals from when he was at Simon Kenton.
  13. Go Brossart! It's always a good thing when the 10th eliminates the 11th in a tournament. The best part is that you KNOW the 10th is being represented with class by BB... Its not just a team, it's a PROGRAM they have there. Congrats and good luck.
  14. The Indians travel to Bourbon Co. to play their final district game. Any thoughts?
  15. It was on Tuesday, but I agree - these things should be scheduled on the weekend.
  16. The night that would not end! 4:30 Frosh Girls WH v/s Owen Co. runs late 6:30 Boys JV game WH v/s MCHS takes forever 8:10 Homecoming Activities Start 8:40 Boys Varsity game WH v/s MCHS begins with 5 minutes left to go in the 2nd quarter, the principal at Western Hills made the decision that the gym should be cleared because of the storm. They emptied the gym and everyone was in "interior classrooms" for about 50 minutes. 10:30 Game ends MCHS 83 WH 66 MCHS gets back to the school around 12:00 midnight
  17. LCA has been without thier starting center all year. That has hurt them against the schedule they've played. LCA presses the entire game. Brossart plays solid Man-to-Man. It will be interesting to see which style prevails.
  18. Yes. It's possible he may be playing by the district tournament according to the folks I talked to when Madison Central was in Mt. Sterling.
  19. It seems that margin of victory has a lot to do with these rankings. IMO that's not a good thing.
  20. Thanks JF - I didn't have time to spend the 30 minutes it would have taken me to type out the list... Sorry OY - I just copied the link from the Lex. Herald Leader's web page.
  21. The Tribe travels to Frankfort to face Western Hills on Tuesday. Any thoughts on this one?
