Most seasoned referees I know would have let that go and gone to overtime. On another note, that was a great pass on the side out of bounds play. i would guess the kid had time to catch and go back up. Great pass.

The Scott Co announcer was noticeably different. Did not give nearly as much information as normal and very little voice fluxuation. He has always been pretty animated.

Ouch. That would be tough to overcome.

Solid win to start the season for Woodford. I thought they may struggle this year after losing Boggess but Hundley has a built a solid program there. Congrats to the Yellowjackets.

I can't imagine they will shoot it that well every night. The bulk of Ballard's points came from jump shots. Even the big kid was hitting 15-17 footers.

Ballard looked very good tonight. They made Scott Co pay every time they got out of position. They made the right pass and got open shots. I didn't see a stat sheet but I would be interested to know what Ballard shot from the field and specifically from the 3. They played tough man to man in your face defense the vast majority of the night and took Scott Co out of any kind of offense. Jenkins went one on one a lot in the second half and unfortunately, that was probably the best option tonight. The Cards will get better and will make a run at the 11th but they aren't as talented as they have been in the past. Renner was cracking me up laid back in his chair with his feet out. He knew he had the better team tonight.

Congrats to Meade Co. They earned this one. Their defense was solid all night, giving up very few big plays. John Wilson was a stud on both offense and defense. Scott Co's clock management at the end of the first half was very poor. I still don't know what really happened on the blocked punt that led to a scrum and then to a Meade Co possession. Scott Co fumbled 3 times in the first half. We recovered 2 and Meade recovered 1. Did I mention that I was impressed with John Wilson? I posted in the update thread that the announcers called him 5'8 and 160. If that is correct I am even more impressed. Congrats again to Meade. Good luck next week.

John Wilson is the best player on the field in my opinion. He has been impressive on both offense and defense. They announced him at 5'8 160. He plays a lot bigger than that.
