Coach Rains is very high on his squad this year. If that happens I will be very surprised. In fact I think Hayden will have the most rushing yards in this game.

I thought I had heard West Jess but I could be way off base.

I think he was #7, but if he is out there you'll know who he is, he's an athletic freak and played receiver last year, but makes plays all over the field.

He was dominant vs. Tates Creek last year, almost single handedly beat the 'Dores by himself. His Punt return for a TD was the difference.

Dunbar has all of the makings to be a good team. Not great but good, 6-4 is a definite possibility. Jerrell has to stay healthy this year, if he gets injured Dunbar run heavy offense will be in trouble.Bryan Station always has more talent than anyone in Lexington but their schedule is rugged this year. Here is how I broke down their schedule: Paul Dunbar --L Western--L Johnson Central--L Woodford County--L Lafayette--L Montgomery CountyW Henry Clay--L Ashland Blazer--W Tates Creek--L Fleming County--W In my opinion Station has Five toss-up games that will define their season: Western, Woodford, Montgomery, Ashland and Creek. They have been losing for so long I just don't know if they can pull through.

Tates Creek was missing a few key players during this tournament. Also anyone who has ever seen Desmond Johnson from Cumberland play know he is extremely talented, if he were 6'9 instead of 6'5 he would be a major D-1 PF.

Tates Creek @ Campbell Co., these two teams are about as evenly matched as is possible.

I like Sauerbeck the linebacker and Owens and Woodruff as well they form a really solid trio. Styer the Coach seems to have instituted the necessary changes to make them a really competitive program. It's just my personal opinion that success breeds success and their winning ways will continue. Additionally I think that NKY 6A this year is weaker than NKY 4A was last year which will equal more victorous and provide a serious psychological boost to the Camels this year.

I really think that Campbell Co. is loaded this year and they will make some serious noise.

BGP does a great job with their ratings. Does anyone else see any tweaking that they think needs to be done at this early juncture? My own personal 6A rankings would look like this: 1. Trinity 2. One big problem with Lexington's football atmosphere is that people don't have the same pride in their community that smaller places have. When we played at Bell Co., or Johnson Central or Dixie Heights it seemed to me as if every person in that community was at that game. Those people were also there to root for their home team, although when Tates Creek was really good in the late 90's and early 00's they used to have great crowds, a lot of the students came to the game to socialize and be seen not to watch the game and support their home teams.

Lexington Christian will be very good this year. After speaking with Coach Rains I came away with the feeling he thinks this years team is special.

That's a really tough question. To me it all depends on how good Wayne Co. will be this year. I could see Garrard finishing anywhere from 2-4 in the district.If I had to guess I would go, Somerset, Wayne Co., Garrard Co., Taylor Co., Casey Co., Jackson Co. Garrard Co. was at Tates Creek this past Friday and they played well on offense, Their defense was pretty much manhandled upfront though. Tates Creek is making some changes and had about 80 kids SO-SR and played a ton of guys, but that being said, #8 for Garrard was explosive and had plenty of nice runs. Garrard also returned a kick for a score, but their kicking game was not good at all and they gave up a return as well.

Garrard Co. played very well last friday night and will surprise this year. #8 in practice jersey is very good.

^I loved my home stadium, but it was very 'historic' to be kind, it was partially condemned my junior year, and we had a very pronounced crown also. I just remember the atmosphere was excellent and by field I meant the stadium set up in general, but the field from my memory was nice, I played there in 2000.

Does Trigg have the horses to pull an upset this year?
