Highway 119
In your neck of the woods, who do you think will sneak up on opponents this year (besides your home team, every homer feels this is their year right now:rolleyes:)?
Uncle Charlie
Lloyd. Anytime you get the coach that they did you have a great opportunity to turn some heads.
Qryche11
Campbell Co. will be in the thick of things I think this year with their strong D. They seem to be back in the picture.

katbird
Campbell County is my sleeper team.....Their "D" is going to be one of the best around....
rustyhurd
I think maybe Conner might suprise some people this year. I have not heard anything really to make me feel that way, I just have a hunch. New coach, and they have been quiet for a couple years, and it hasn't been that long ago they were the team to beat in the old 4A.
SuperB
Carroll County has about 55 kids out and didn't look to shabby at the Grant County scrimmage on Friday night. They looked bigger, stronger and faster than they have since Coach Eckstein moved on. They will definitely be improved over last season.

pldgreatno2
Dunbar a.k.a. "tha D" With some new key additions, hopefully they'll take Lexington and poss. state.

Montgomery Co got a new coach last year and really started to turn that program around. If they continue that this year....they will suprise some people. gchs_uk9
Dunbar a.k.a. "tha D" With some new key additions, hopefully they'll take Lexington and poss. state. "tha D?" C'mon, its hard to take that serious! Is Dunbar improved enough to win football games in the city? They would have to have taken a giant leap to compete with Creek and Lafayette, much less Henry Clay. And nobody from Fayette County is winning 6A, so leave that in the dust. They seemed to be much better on all fronts last season, but did they lose much to graduation? What are their current numbers like? One thing that might hurt the Indians is playing in a district with solid teams like Johnson Central, Woodford and Ashland. Mix in Bryan Station, who should be better and Montgomery could be much improved and still miss the playoffs.
Hasbeen
I look for some good results out of the class 5A district 8 schools. For Whitley, North Laurel, and South Laurel, they're playing schools more closely matched in size. For Letcher and Clay County, it means getting away from Rock and Bell. Should be a fun district to watch this year.

The unfortunate part is that the winner will have to make a trip up to Fort Thomas Highlands for the third round of the playoffs. But no matter, it would still be a great year.
