Any thoughts? Can Villa keep it close this time around?

How many did Bryan have? Schuh?

Blake Bryan scored 20 and had a handfull of assists. David Schuh scored 16 and Ryan Schroth scored 11. I read that it was 9-4 after the first quarter and 15-11 at the half. Defensive battle or offensive struggle? Anyone who was there care to share any details. Blake Bryan also broke Villa's boys basketball all-time scoring record last night.

Do you think small schools like Villa and Bellevue should be scheduling NCC (and other bigger schools) year in and year out? Does it help the small school? The big school? This topic could be made into its own thread but what do you think?

I'm pretty sure that Villa plays NCC too. Lost 46-74 this year. Lost 54-87 last year.

Hall, a junior forward, finished with 13 points, including three 3-pointers. Ludlow senior forward Kyle Williamson scored 14 points in the fourth quarter and overtime and totaled 19 for the Panthers (4-13). The Blue Lightning were led by point guard Blake Bryan, who scored a game-high 25 points. Bryan went 12-for-16 from the free throw line. David Schuh nailed four 3-pointers and scored 20 for Villa Madonna (5-13). Ludlow advances to face Dayton, Wednesday at 6 p.m. at Newport.

How many 3s did he have in the 1st quarter? 1st half?

Villa's actually had a pretty tough schedule so far this year: Newport (twice) Lloyd Calvary St. Henry NCC Oldham Co. Seneca Dixie Beechwood While Lloyd, Calvary aren't powerhouses they're pretty tough. Dixie may be down this year but they're a big school and historically tough.

St. Henry vs. Villa at 2:30 NCC vs. Cooper at 4:15 Holy Cross vs. Calvary at 6:00 Campbell Co. vs. McNicholas 7:30 I believe its the First Security Basketball Classic. The benefits go to the Jim Connor Scholarship Fund.

Who do you think wins this one? Will we have another close game like last year during the regional tourney or does St. Henry run away with it?

Ludlow's playing pretty good as of late? Didn't they just lose to Heritage? However, maybe Heritage is playing pretty well as of late?

Lloyd 82, Villa Madonna 67: The Juggernauts improved to 2-0 behind senior guard Randy Tackett, who scored 18 points. Lloyd escaped despite a standout performance by Villa Madonna junior guard Blake Bryan, who scored a game-high 38 points.

How is Lloyd looking this year?

I know its up in Ohio but there is a GMC/GCL Showcase on Saturday, Nov. 29th and Dec. 2nd. Among some of the better match ups are Elder vs. Princeton and St. X vs. Middletown. Princeton and Middletown are going to be pretty good this year and fun to watch. It would also be a good chance for those St. Henry fans to get out and scout Oak Hills (I think they play each other later in the season) they play against a team from Dayton (Ohio).

What about Dixie vs. Simon Kenton??

Have they started practicing yet at Villa? I know its only three days in but how do they look? Anyone know how many they have on the squad? Any 7 foot transfers yet?

I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure Bryan had about 20 points both times they played Bellevue so you might want to check your sources. DIII sounds like its going to be pretty interesting this year. Any word on progress of any other Villa players? Summer ball? etc?
