They have not lost many games over the last 2 and 1/2 years. Their 2 big guys are a matchup problem for most teams. Not sure how Beechwood beat them twice... but I would like to have the recipe because we play them in a week or so. Congratulation to Beechwood on the Championship.

The situation that you explained was an error in judgment. That happens and you have to remember that refs are human and that they can only call what they think they see. The Oklahoma situation is an error in enforcement of a rule. There is no judgment to be made. You know the rule or you don't.....and if you don't know the rules then don't be a ref.

I may be wrong but I believe that in the NKMSAA league we play by the same rules as Ky High Schools do. Exception would be the amount of time per quarter.

My son's 8th grade coach does not allow his players to call timeouts. He calls the timeouts and he will not usually use one to bail a player out of a bad situation. He tries to save them for the end of the game if possible. As a coach would you want the players using TO's?

Nick Thelen is the Pius 8th grade big guy. His sister plays volleyball for Penn State. Very athletic family.

Each class has 38 or so teams in it. To me, that is not enough.

Bryson Jones hitting 3 3's was huge for IHM. IHM also did a much better job from the charity stripe. I will give Highlands credit for not giving up when IHM had them down 10 in the second half. This game is a perfect example of how just about every game will be in the league this year.

I agree that CCH should feel better about their effort tonight as compared to the last several meetings. I do not think that anyone does or should feel victorious when the scoreboard say you are not. Maybe I am too competitive to buy in to the Moral Victory stuff, it is just how I am built.

Sounds like a lot to do about nothing. HHS ran one more play than they needed to. Probably just some confusion and wanted to make sure they could run the clock out. Nothing to see here.
