So you must be saying that you were the one man. In that case that is not true. I know for a fact that you did not medal against Grant County and I know that when you played against us our one man medaled.

How dyou you figure you beat us twice. I remember a match. That's it. I also believe we beat you in regionals which means wecame ready to play when it mattered and you didn't, but that should be no surprise to you beacause you should be use to it.

You should feel really proud of yourself. Your rival lost out on the state tournament by one shot and you are happy about it. First of all, great sportsmanship on your part. I can understand you being happy if we lost in the regular season by one shot, but to miss out on a great experience like the state tournament and for you to be happy is very low. You have no idea how we were feeling after missing the state tournament by one shot. Especially since we had been there the past 5 years and wanted to go back and continue that streak. Could you say that about your team? Didn't think so. If your team was good enough to actually make it there for once you would know that feeling. So until you beat actually beat Brossart and go to the state tournament 5 years straight like we did then I suggest you think before you say comments like that. Especially when you have no right to be saying them.

As much as I love golf, I must agree with striker. Golf is not a big time sport at all in high school. People really don't get into golf until their later years and golf really doesn't get publicized at any level except for the pro tour. How often do you here about the player of the year in golf on ESPN? Never.

Really? That's funny because if i remember correctly when we played Campbell I remember him making sure everything got started ok and then went and took a nap on the team bus. I also recall hearing from the players numerous times while playing with them that their coach was a horrible coach. They said that he never made them go to practice, if and when they had practice. Sounds to me like he wasn't working very hard. As to him working harder than you did, that may be the reason why you haven't made it to state or had much success over the past years.

Heard that Simpson broke his hand and is out for the year. Any truth to this?

I guess you didn't read my above post. I would suggest reading it before saying I had the wrong situation next time. And I'm almost 100% sure that when the catcher's arm hits the batter while he is trying to throw a guy out it is interference on the batter and the runner is called out.

If i remember correctly I believe that Brossart scored a couple runs in the 6th inning to seal the deal, and last time i checked when the runner is running to third base and the ball hits him that is interference. Absolutely the right call. :thumb:

It's still early. Brossart is very young and will learn to play together very well very quicky. Just give it time. When it comes time to defend the All "A" Regional Championship and the All "A" State Championship, they will be ready to play and will get the job done. They always do and always will. It's the Brossart way.

Just a bad night for Brossart.

Although Brossart will not be as talented as last year, I still believe they will be a good team. As for Campbell getting out of the district easily I have to disagree. Campbell also doesn't have many returning starters and if I remember correctly Brossart's JV team beat Campbell's JV team at Campbell late last year. Also with the pitching that Brossart will have in Verst I would say the edge goes to Brossart. Brossart has a couple guys that played a lot of Varsity last year and a couple more who got some significant time on varsity as well. I would absolutely not count the Mustangs out. They always fight to the end no matter what.

If they are stripped of the regional title also, should they not have gone to state. Should the third place team in the Regional Tournament have gone to state? It just depends on who's score was used and how close the team scores were. Any details on their regional scores from the 1st region?

How was he the stud? If you ask me he is not that great of a quarterback. He is not very smart with the ball and tries to do to much with it. That was the first good run i saw him make all night in overtime and it was only 2 yards. He needs to quit being selfish with the ball and get it to his receivers more often instead of keeping it and not getting anywhere. But thats just my opinion. Great game by both teams though. It's a shame someone had to lose in this one.

First off we are not talking about rivals at all. This is about why public schools smiled about all of this. Secondly I really could care less how my school's rival does unless they are playing my team. So to answer your question, "Do you enjoy it when your school's rival gets beaten out of the tournament?" My answer is "NO." I could really care less. Therefore striker is right about you having sour grapes. You should probably watch what you say unless you know what you are talking about.
