  1. Ok well true on the member part but not on the tips part. The tips at PCC are the gold tees. Phoenix only plays from the blue tees and he just moved back to those from the white tees last year. When the event comes tat he is playing with some of the better golfers at the club and attempts to play from the gold he has a lot of trouble shooting good. I do think Phoenix is a good golfer but the problem is he has not gotten much better since 7th grade. He is a very good kid who loves the game but you are correct, his attitude gets in the way. Zach Wright shot 77 at regionals last year and he just keeps getting better year after year. As for him throwing them in from 50-60 yards, that's great but there are many people who do that. If I remember correctly I was told that Zach Wright threw one in from about 120 last year at AJ Jolly in the Regional tournament on hole number 16 for birdie. First off that a very hard hole to par since the green can be very tricky but to shoot 77 and make that kind of shot under the pressure of a regional tournament at that young of an age can only mean there are still some very good things to come. On the other hand I would say it is between those two players next year to who will win the region as there is no one else in their region that can compete with either one of them when they are playing their best golf they are both just solid young golfers.
  2. Also the fact that he can only hit the ball about 200 yards will hurt him on longer courses. He does fine on the short courses and he does have a great short game but the distance will kill him on longer courses.
  3. True. So for the 2008 season I think Zach Wright from Grant is the best in the region but for last year absolutely Jeremy Martin.
  4. Weren't you the one that went on to put just about evry single stat possible about the basketball team. All I said was evryone siad their basketball team wuld not be any good and they ended up beating some good teams. I believe you posted a whole stat book about the basketball team.
  5. Brossart has been playing very good lately. They are finally starting to play together and what better of a time to be playing your best ball. I'll take Brossart 59-45.
  6. Sorry Uebel pitched against Harrison not Simon. Then verst came in in relief
  7. Ha. Mutsch never pitched against Harrison County in the regional. He pitched in the first round against St. Pats. Chris Simon pitched against Harrison in the regional semi-finals.
  8. Not true at all. First off if your going to talk about players try spelling their names right. MUTSCH very rarely pitched against big teams since he didn't have one of his best years last year and when he did pitch he would be pulled early on. UEBEL was Brossart's go to guy last year as he was a great pitcher. Chris Simon was also another good pitcher. I mean he did beat Clark County in their tournament. As for Verst not pitcing against any quality teams. He shut out Johnson Central (who did go to the state tournament at Applebee's) 10-0 and as I said earlier he beat the Kentucky Kings over the summer. I would say you have to be pretty good to do that.
  9. I completely agree. Defense will be fine as they have very solid defensive players who don't beat themselves. that is the key to any team winning. However hitting will be the deciding factor for the Mustangs this year as the have only 2 or 3 guys who have even seen Varsity pitching ever. They will struggle early but I can only hope they will get better as the year goes on.
  10. I'm not sure why everyone thinks that Woodruff is such a great pitcher. Yea He is good but he doesn't throw all that hard and he is not as great as people think. My opinion for one of the top in the region probably number 1 or 2, is Tyler Verst of Bishop Brossart. He is a very good pitcher who I believe beat the Kentucky Kings over the summer and had a 6-0 reccord last season. The only person that I think could match up with him is Martin from Harrison. Other than him I believe Verst is the best in the region.
  11. Set Em Up, while I agree with this statement and the statement that they will not be as good as everyone thinks they will, weren't you the one who sadi that Campbell's pitching staff will be very deep this year. I Completely agree with you that they won't be as good as they think they will and about the partying thing but I just feel like you are contradicting yourself and need to stick to one opinion rather than changing your thoughts
  12. I do not completely agree with this comment. As I do agree that their talent level will not be anywhere close to last year's squad I do believe they will be competitive with a lot of teams in NKY. As to them not having much talent, any team would seem like that when they graduate nine seniors in which everyone of those players would have started on most of the teams in NKY. Just because they don't return much doesn't mean they have no talent all the time and in this case it just means two things. 1) That they won't have as much Varsity experience as most teams and 2) That they graduateda team full of very very good talent. It's the same thing that happened to their basketball team this year and look at what they have done. It's the same for every sport at Brossart. TRADITION NEVER GRADUATES. It's pretty safe to say that Brossart has a winning tradition and this year will not be any different.
  13. Since Brossart graduated their 3 top players from last year this is potentially true. Although, there are a couple players returning that with practice and dedication have the potential to develop into some very nice golfers.
  14. I'm not very aware of many golfers in the state and I really don't know who will be returning next year so I could not even begin to create my own list. I apologize.
  15. Ok so just because he ties a player once makes him a good player. You can not judge a player's talent on one match. Just because he played good one time in the whole season does not make him one of the best golfers in the state. That's all i'm saying is that he may be a decent player for your team but not one of the best in NKY and definitely not one of the best in the state. Oh and by the way CCHS how are the golf scholorships coming along. Have you made any decisions yet?
  16. How can you say that Mason is not that much better. Yea Brossart did lose to them by 35 and yea it was in the MCIT which makes it that much harder. Do you have any idea how hard it is to beat Mason at home for any game, and with it being in the MCIT that makes it even harder. You obviously have no clue what it takes to play them in their own tournament. So you can't compare games here. As for it being a 30 point loss, I do not believe that will be the case. I know it will be tough for the Mustangs to pull it out but who knows. They have a couple good things working for them. They are improving every time they step on that floor, they have one of the best coaching staffs in the state, they play great defense, and most of all the amount of confidence that they are playing with right now could lead to a very good game. Either way it goes I look for this to be a very good game and very close. I know Brossart can pull it off and yes it will be very difficult to do but hey thats what everyone said about St Pats and Lexington Christian and look what happened in those games. GO MUSTANGS!!!!!
  17. Brossart always comes ready to play when they need to and tomorrow wont be any different. Brossart by 5 :thumb:
  18. Sensitive!! I'm sure that many colleges are looking at kids who shoot 79 at AJ Jolly!
  19. Sarcasim? I was happy for you, but you seem to be a little touchy.
