University Heights 53 Hazard 46 All A Finals

Featured Replies

University Heights takes the All "A" championship with a win over the Hazard Bulldogs. :dancingpa:flame::dancingpa

Congrats to the Blazers on their win and congrats to the Bulldogs and good luck in your region. Way to represent both the 2nd and 14th region.

Congratulations to both teams. :thumb:

UHA's All A tournament record is reaching levels of untouchablity (I think that's a word.)

And Hazard....I'm very proud of the way you represented the mountains and the 14th region. As the gov of California might say, "They'll be back." Only one senior on this team...

Their 15th trip to the All A. A record of 44-7. And now their 8th championship. Congrats to the Blazers on their continued success in the All A. I can say this though. People at University Heights love winning the All A. But it's been 14 years since they have had the State Championship... I'm hoping they can make a good run at it.

First off congrats to Hazard on a great tournament run and representing the 14th region very well. :thumb:

There are quite a few regionals I'm going to look forward to, the 14th being one of them.

Of course congrats to University Heights on the win and a great tournament. I'm VERY happy they are on the other side of the bracket should they and Mason Co be fortunate enough to get to Rupp.

Yeah, reporters said he was there to watch both Hopson and Edmondson.

Thanks for the run Hazard. We are proud of you guys here in Beattyville. You represented the mountains well. Best of luck the rest of the way.

Great game by two good teams!! Good luck the rest of the season to both teams and I hope to see both at Rupp Arena in March!!

Good game by both teams. UH has 2 D-1 players and in the end that was the difference. Hazard held their own in the paint and fought back hard. Just too much athleticism at the end of the game for Hazard to handle.

Congratulations to UHA on their victory today. They have a really good team and should advance to the Sweet 16 if they play as well as they did today. I must say our Bulldogs also put on quite a show. We hung tough and even pulled even late in the game, but our missed freethrows and some questionable no-calls really hurt us down the stretch. I believe this tournament will be very good for the Bulldogs in the long run...perhaps making them "more hungry" to get to the Sweet 16.

I am proud of you Bulldogs...keep your head up!

Remember...its not the size of the dog in the fight...it's the size of the fight in the dog.

Go Bulldogs!

Congrats to both teams. You made your schools proud.

I thought Zac Jones would make the all tournament team, nothing against Trent Maddox, but Zac was outstanding in both contest, and clearly not afraid of anyone. The best part about it the kid's a sophmore. Congrats Trent. Keep working hard Zac your both a pleasure to watch.
