Huge win for the Mustangs. I have said from the beginning these boys will surprise people and they will be a tough team in the end of the season and that is exactly what they are. Looks like they are playing their best ball and what a better time for it. Congrats Mustangs.:dancingpa

Yes Campbell County did beat Harrison at Harrison but one question? Who pitched for Harrison? Also not only is it very hard to beat Harrison in the regionals but it's even harder to beat Harrison @ Harrison in the regionals. Especially when you have already beat them once already this year. It is very unlikely to beat a team like Harrison twice in one year at their home field. Not saying it can't happen but I would have to say Harrison has the edge over everybody since the Regionals is being played at their home field. But good luck to all teams. The 10th should be a very competitve tournament this year.

All of the Mustangs stepped up and are really starting to hit the ball. I think about 25 hits in the past two games. Looks like they are playing good and there couldn't be a better time for it.

Number 22 is Tyler Verst and yes he is a very good pitcher. He certainly fooled Luke Maile during his first at bat of that game. He looked confused when he saw Tyler's curveball up there.

District seeding game tonight at St Mary at 5 o'clock. If the Mustangs win there is a 3 way tie for the #1 seed. If the Camels win they secure the #1 seed. Should be a good game. What are your thoughts?

Verst didnt start the game. Zach Hertzenberg threw 4 2/3 good innings and only giving up one run until the error occured and then was pulled. Tyler verst came in to finish the 5th inning and then never returned to the game. Their were two more pitchers to throw in the 6th for Brossart. So to say Verst ran out of gas is just wrong. He didn't start the game and only threw 1/3 of an inning in which he was put in a very difficult situation in the 5th inning. I thought he did very well to get out of a jam in that inning. It just wasn't the Mustnags night.

The score was 1-1 with two ous when the error occured and the relief pitcher did not give up a base hit he walked the first two batters he faced and and thats how the score became 5-1. Mustangs just blew this game. They really showed how good they can be in the first 4 2/3 innings but then the wheels just started falling off. They made a mistake and Scott capitalized on that mistake. It was a greatgame up to that point but the Mustangs just couldn't hold it together.

No... The only reason they have been playing there is because of all the rain St. Mary has not been ready and Pendery seems to drain better than any field around. They have been very grateful to get Pendery at this point in the rain with the horrible weather.

All games have been rained out today. They will be made up tomorrow night at Pendery Park. The Bishop Brossart vs Calvary Christian semi-final game will be played at 4:30. Following that game the Finals between Silver Grove and the winner of the Brossart/Calvary game will be played at 7:00.

Brossart beat Nicholas County 8-2 today in the quarterfinal game and Silver Grove defeated Deming 8-6 in their semi-final game. Brossart will play Calvary Christian in the other semi-final game tomorrow at St. Mary at 1:00. Silver Grove will then play the winner of that game in the finals which will also be played at St. Mary at 4:00.

They are going to try to get Pendery Park ready for play and see how many games they can get in. That's all the information I know. Sorry no times yet.

Brossart played a very good game. They have been playing very well the past few games. They just keep getting beter each game out and it is great to see such a young team winning games when they have to and playing their best ball when they have to. Then again it is Brossart so you cant expect anything less that that. They always seem to play their best ball at the right times.

Brossart beat Augusta Wednesday night in 5 innings.

Correct. Brossarts last pitcher came in and I believe gave up 2 unearned runs.

Brossart seems to be playing much better. They fall to 4-5 on the season. Next up for the Mustangs is the All A regional tournament.

Sounds to me like evryeone seems to think Brossart will win it so Im not sure what you mean by making this statement.

Same answer that I gave as to why their basketball team won the All A when nobody believed they could do it... They always come ready to play and always get the job done when they have to no matter what talent they have. :thumb:

Final! Brossart scored 4 runs in the bottom of the 6th to get the win. Great game played by both teams.
