The only reason that I made the statement is they will not be moved by October 15th. You never know about coachs and programs and parents and what kind of trouble this could cause then again you are probably right and it will be no big deal.

I can guarantee there is no funny business going on here. The move is several hours away and the main reason I believe they like Conner is test scores and elementary and middle schools for there younger kids. This would not even be a topic anywhere if the job opportunity would have happened over the summer. Parents move for higher paying jobs and better opportunities all the time it just so happens that they have a daughter that is a very good post player and that makes for wrinkles.

The transfer is legit. The players father was just offered the job this week. The family still has to make a house hunting trip and compare the cost of living. The player wants to attend Conner and at this point the parents dont even know what neighborhoods are in that area. If transferring is an issue I would suspect the father to live in northern kentucky and the rest of the family to stay put. I know the family does not want that to happen but they also do not want their child to have to sit out a year. I think the parents wish all of this would have happened over the summer while there was more time but you never know when opportunity will knock. In the end the player will play at her current school or Conner provided she cam make Conner's team after the transfer.

Why would the player be ineligible if there is a bondfide change of residence.

Yes this is the player that will be attending Conner if all works out.

I am not at liberty to discuss who the player is when the move is final and all the ducks are lined up everyone will know who it is. There are still a few things left to be ironed out so the cat must stay in the bag.

Yes she is from Kentucky

They have played varsity for three years since 8th grade, started last year as a sophomore. But as stated new job is several hours away and is a legitimate change in residence. They really dont want to move but job is a better career choice for the players father.

If a player transfers after school has started can they be eligible at there new school the same year. Please understand that the family has moved to a new job several hours away.

Conner High School will be getting the transfer afterall it appears. Only one holdup is the girls parents are checking into transfer rules after school has started. The family will not move until after october 15th so how does all this fit with Conner high schools b-ball coach. Her Father will be there before on his new job. Still alot of questions but if they can get it worked out Conner stands to benefit from a 6'1 post player that is a good basketball player and very smart girl who listens to her coachs.

Southwestern beat a very lackluster team in Dunbar by a score of 27-21. This is after Dunbar committed 9 turnovers. Niether team deserved to win this ugly ballgame.

Pulaski will win by 2 touchdowns. 35-21 or something close to that.

Congrats PC tough road win makes the young Maroons even better. Looks like they are the class of the county this year.

Southwestern is starting to show there lack of depth and experience. They will take there lumps this year but will be back even stronger next year. In football it is tough if you dont have a little depth and Southwesterns wheels come off quickly with only a couple of players hurt. Congrats Mercer

I will give JC credit they beat a small Ohio school 14-3.

I merely thought that JC was overrated just like last year.

OOps I was wrong Wheelersburg has 185 boys and 146 girls in school. That is a total of 331 these numbers come from the OHSAA web site. Yes I thought that the Burg would win. But the funny thing that I dont understand is that Johnson Central can say that it was a test or quality win when they are a much much larger school.

Johnson Central 5A school in Kentucky they have over three times the enrollment of Wheelersburg. Wheelersburg only has 120 boys in the school. Johnson Central should have won the ballgame by alot more.

Mercer will win in a close ballgame 28-26. Southwestern in the throws of a long season.

Lincoln was a stronger and better football team. Southwestern will bounce back they just have a tough schedule and victories may be scarce.

The Burg will win tonight 28-14. They are a very good athletic school. They are a very small school enrollment around 180 boys. But man can they play Football and Basketball.

I believe that this rule should also be changed to the official start of the season. Let the girls play AAU ball until OCT. 15th. They then can represent their high school and have the best of both worlds. The only negitive I can think of is if a girl gets injured. That night make her High School coach upset.
