No way would I say that. Southwestern looked good but there were alot of teams not there. And as stated above some key players were also missing from some teams. Southwestern has confidence to build on from this and the knowledge that they can play very good basketball when they play together.

Notre Dame Academy made it to the semi-finals. Highlands made it to the quarterfinals. I cant think of any other NKY teams that played. The tournament was won by Southwestern high school.

I believe that Southwestern will be fine next year. They won the State AAU tournament over the weekend beating some very stiff compitition. The key will be they have to stay healthy. The have a very strong starting five and only a few bench players. Devin Fothergill has improved this summer by leaps and bounds. Ashley Fowler is playing tough D and shooting lights out. Danay Fothergill is a pure shooter who this weekend played unbelievable D. Whitney Roots rebouded well and played solid inside D. And Stephanie Salyers was a force inside she will be tough to stop this year.

Way to go Kentucky. Speed Kills.

I have heard the same thing. He comes with some baggage though.

They had a round robin event this week at the high school where several teams came and played different teams. I believe that Rockcastle, Whitley, Monticellio, Somerset, Pulaski, and Southwestern all played games. I know that Southwestern beat Rockcastle, Pulaski and Somerset. It was some good games to watch and to see the girls play with alot of different combinations. I believe every school involved has positive results.

The Warriors return 4 starters and will be right in the mix for the 12 region next year. I agree they must cut down on turnovers and play good solid defense.

I would agree that Morehead and EKU fell asleep at the wheel. She is a class act both on the court and off. Congrats Maggie

Conner should be good again with Long leading the way. Boone County has to rebuild. Ryle will be the sleeper. Notre Dame is alway there.

Somerset lost several key players from last year. They will be somewhat young and inexperienced. They need to lean on Coffey she is a very good point guard. They also have Meg Lathem inside this year they will suprise some people if they find leadership.

Does anyone know who the junior girls are that the seniors will scrimmage. If the Sr. girls get some good compitition in the two scrimmages we might sweep Indiana this year.

Rucker is an awesome athlete that can jump out of the gym. Her basketball skills need some work though. If she applies herself the sky is the limit.

Wayne returns 3 good players in Stearns, Bowling, and Jones plus a good role player in Burton. They along with Southwestern better be watchful of Monticellio next year they will win alot of ballgames.

I dont know if Rice would leave Southwestern this year or not. He has a good squad returning next year that could challenge for the region. But moving back home to the Mountains is a BIG attraction.

No I am from Central Kentucky. I do keep up with all girls basketball though. I agree if it is offered he will be gone in a heartbeat. One could not hold it against him though he is from the mountains.

Southwestern will be one of the best teams in the 12th region next year with the team they have coming back. Pulaski will be lucky to win 5 games with Cable.

There had to be a problem on the show. The 12th region only had a one player on the Honorable Mention. Whitney Cash and Breanna Jones should be there.

1. Lincoln County--- Return 4 starters and good bench should be the best. 2. Southwestern---- Return 4 starters which accounted for 90% of there offense. 3. Casey County-----Return 3 starters 4. Rockcastle--------Return everyone but Rowe but they will miss her alot. 5. Monticellio-------- Will shock alot of people and make it to the region.

I have seen Conner and Long play a few games and I would say that she is going to be a fine D-1 player if that is what she wants. She can shoot and she can drive the basket.:ylsuper:

Lincoln County in a very close ball game. This game will tax both teams and with Southwesterns choke job against Mercer, Rockcastle should be rested and ready come Saturday night.
