Jumper fans should be grateful for the cornfed county boys' If it weren't for them, you guys couldn't field enough for a team from them streamlined city limits... Plus most of those boys would have been fine coming home out here in the county subdivision after school where they live, maybe its the city water that drew them to the the purple and gold....LOL

Danville made mistakes like a young inexperienced team would. Guess what, so did Southwestern. With that said, it should be a dandy Friday night in a game of who turns it over the least. But I was proud of SW Friday night. I said all week lets see how they react after getting hit hard in the mouth like Rock always plays, and they did hit back at least in the first half. But soon the reaching and grabbing on defense will have to go away soon, and they will start laying the lumber on people like SW defense has always done. I just hope its sooner than later.

Yes Hardball Somerset does have a Legion team. They are coached by Marty Mayer now instead of Gerald Hines. They are not the Twins anymore either, they are just simply Somerset Post 38. They have played just above .500 ball this summer, in some very tough tourneys. But do have enough live arms to contend at state if they come ready to play.

Does anyone know of a 15U travel team that may need a late season pick up player. Great player, needs a good team. WOuld commit to fall league as well. Central Ky preferably. But would travel more if need be.

John was also seen playing in Michigan in a Senior League Regional championships last summer playing in an U18 division and was seen by several coaches there. He pitched 1 magnificent game, and another one really well, and got spoken with up there. I am not 100%, but fairly positive that is where Purdue saw him first play.

Dead period for the summer teams who are coached by their high school coaches, is for a 2 week travel and play vacation.

I look for PC to battle hard, I just feel with their youth in the field, Somerset's upperclassmen will not commit costly errors. I say SHS 6-PC-1

Probably the weakest district since the new 48th formed. But it will still be exciting baseball. Southwestern and McCreary should battle for the crown, and I give the edge ever so slightly to SW for having home field. Both these teams are young and talented, so the future looks bright for both teams.

Congratulations to the Kentucky X'Treme ladies 15U basketball team for winning the Deep South Tournament played at North Carolina Univ., and North Carolina State Univ. They went 5-0 on the weekend, they won in the championship game 61-51 over 2 time AAU National Champions Indiana's Finest Blackcats. Who they tout have the best sophomore player in the country in Kelly Farris, and if she isn't, I would like to see who is. Team X'Treme played as their name, as a team, and when 10 ladies who can flat out play, defend and pass because they want their teamates to be successful as well, it is a beautiful thing to watch as a basketball purist. I am sure no offense will be taken. The SW girls came ready, and the Rockets didn't, But the next night SW beat themselves, and Wayne moves on, congrats to them, thats just the way these things happen.

Congrats to Lincoln Co on a great year, bet West Jessamine feels sick after the no call last night at the closing seconds!!!! I agree it was a bad no call, but W Jessamine got the ball back after Fain 2 handed fouled a Lincoln kid on the other end and that was another bad no call. But overall the officials definetily swallowed the whistles a little early in this game. But as a fan it was a great region game.
