Head Coach has resigned. Who will be next head coach?

Will Carroll County have a new coaching staff next year? Or does anyone even care? Something needs to be done, there is too much talent there and NO coaching.

Played a couple of slowpitch games last year where I bet Mark McGuire couldn't hit one of those balls out with a Miken Freak.

Hit your spots and don't give up those line drives. A wooden bat may have hit your knee which is worse than your thigh. Just kidding. I used a wooden bat until my sophmore year in high school, when the last one got sawed off on an inside fastball. It was 36"-36 oz. The good hitters in high school like using them in wood bat tournaments in the summer. I know the pitchers would like to see them used. I watched Louisville Slugger wrap some wood bats with composite to make them more durable, maybe for fungos. The worker making them said they really had a lot of pop. I have no idea how they would compare to metal or composite bats. I would love to try one. Maybe a composite handle wood bat?

How about wraping up a pair of socks in athletic tape and using it for a ball, and all the players wear hockey goalie equipment.

You won't get noticed as much on a bad HS team as you will on a good summer team.

I didn't know Holmes was in the 8th.

From the few games that I seen last year, Owen struggled with the outside shot. Neeley will help them a lot if she gets PT. I may be wrong but I believe she broke Gayhearts scoring records in the 8th grade last year.

When you score 29 runs in 3 games it takes a lot of pressure off the pitchers too. Carroll Co. has a good team with great coaches.

Congrats to Carroll on their first win of the year. Mary Hawkins pitched a 2 hit shutout. Beth Tuttle had 2 rbi singles scoring Mackenzie Ogden twice for the only runs of the game. Gallatin won the JV game 5-0

Foot + outside. 0-2 the bat shouldn't reach the ball. I see too many hard hits with this count. We would make our pitchers run 4 poles after the game if they gave up a hit on 0-2.
