Good game for WV. They pulled the ball out and slowed it down at the end. A last second 3 point shot made it only a 10 point victory for WV.

Good luck to WV in the finals....!

Very impressed with Neeley from Owen, also thought Wainscott had a great game.

Form Walton.. Dixon and Sandlin played very well also!

Does Gayheart whine and xry about every call against her?

Now, Now, be nice! :sssh:

Congrats to the Lady Cats. They should roll tomorrow night!

A wise man once told me that the only sure thing is there is no sure thing. The game will not be played on paper, but the Bearcats will be heavily favored. You historically have always bet against Gallatin's boys and girls. Odds are you will get it right eventually. Good luck to both teams.

That's all I was saying is that Walton will be the heavy favorite and based on that they should roll. But we all know the game is not over until the final buzzer.

Agreed.

The Bearcats took Owen County's best shot and won by 10. The Bearcats are hardnosed and do not make many mistakes. Coach Miller and Coach Sullivan do a great job.

I highly doubt that Owen's best shot was 30 points. Gayheart and Kemper both had bad games. Outside of Walton Verona's third quarter run, the game is even.

WV had Owen back on their heals and could have put the hammer down but elected to pull the ball out and burn some clock early in the 4th quarter. One possession they ran more than 2 mins off the clock. Owen banked in a 3 at the buzzer to cut the lead to 10.

I agree with FarBeyondDriven their coach is top shelf and his team plays smart and with great effort every possession.

Could WV's defense had anything to do with that? Sometimes it only takes one run to win games and tonight was an example. If Walton hadn't slowed it down and used a ball control offense in the 4th quarter, it may have been worse. Give credit where credit is due. Defense wins championships.

I am referring to Owen's defense. Defensively, they limited Dixon and Sandlin under double figures I believe. As far as bad games by individual players, Walton's defense had a lot to do with that. They have a good record for a reason.

Dixon and Ginn both had 10 and Sandlin had nine. Owen played good defense but Walton's patient ball control offense assisted with the low score.
