  1. I'm surprised, but this baseball.
  2. It has been usually quiet about BC Lions. GC #1 pitcher has been throwing on limited basis due shoulder issues. GC also has a another starting pitcher in recover from lung surgery. GC should have enough pitching and hitting to get a win at Raceland. IMO
  3. I guess Ashland Daily Independent didn't have time to think about putting in article in today edition about Kentucky High school baseball season in 16 Region. :madman: Maybe tomorrow:D
  4. I look for a few more in the summer after baseball. There seems to be stir among juniors(seniors in 2010) about football, I'll wait to see if anything materializes. GC gets the players out and they buy into the system could be interesting season. I look forward to watching already and don't even have a kid playing.
  5. I recently got to meet Coach Copley. Greenup County looks to have pick up a great coach and good leader for the boys. Very impressed with the way he conducted himself. He looks to have the respect of the kids, something we might of been missing. Go GC.
  6. I did listen to the radio after the game. I can't say I heard the term "fan Resistance", but I did hear Coach Fraley say he guess he was a little arrogant when he came to greenup. That he thought he turn the program around in a year. I think Radio guy Jim Forrest said something about Greenup being a hard place to coach at. Coach Fraley went on to say Greenup was overrated, Greenup is not as talented as people think. Coach Fraley said something about being over 6 feet tall doesn't mean you can play basketball. Also that he may need to think if he is the right person for GC job. From just listening to the radio sound like Coach Fraley was very emotional and fustrated. I may have a word wrong here or there but that is the best I could remember. Coach Fraley seemed to be under pressure, from where?which I don't know from himself or fans? or both. :ohbrother:
  7. I would agree with Craft, Logan, Reed, Staten and I would add Martin(Good Infielder). I would think the rest of the positions will be won in the early part of season by who is hot at the plate and making the least amount of errors. Someone said there are around seventeen juniors and seniors on the team should be plenty of competition for the openings on the field.:thumb:
  8. Williamsburg, Virginia Education, Theme Parks, and the beach within easy driving distance.
  9. Freedom of speech, unless it breaks the BGP rules.
  10. It sure was nice to be able watch live on channel 3.2 wsaz. Way to hang tough Lions.
  11. Suggestion also put him on the radio at halftime or is that what your're saying about being introduced. They did the same thing a few years ago with new baseball coach Greg Logan.
  12. I thought it might have been a joke at first about Coach Fraley, but I guess not. Although he seems to be pretty fire up as of late about basketball.
  13. I remember this article from last year ADI. http://www.dailyindependent.com/archivesearch/local_story_232233316.html This is what I would like to see kids making memories at Greenup County and rest of area schools. Encourage the kids to come out and let coach figure the rest of it out.:thumb:
  14. Wow! I didn't see that one coming. Good job fellows.:dancingpa
  15. Question will Hampton be under age limit his senior year to play any sports? One time I heard he would be ninteen his senior year.
  16. No, this year's Juniors that will be Seniors next year. You probably wasn't negative. Just encourage the kids to try out and let see what happens. Coach Copley will make the calls.:thumb:
  17. What your guys opinions? Necessary or Not? Ohio HS seems to perform pretty well without it. On the other hand if the kids are not playing anything why not do a little football in the spring.
  18. You maybe understating priority of pitching. You have to be strong up the middle: catcher, pitcher, SS, center. Looks like catcher position should be solved but jury still out pitching and SS. IMO
  19. I would agree if you have goal in one sport then focus on it. Also if looking scholarship money football and basketball is alot better than baseball.:thumb:
  20. The point I was trying to make that no juniors play more than one sport at Greenup. Take a look across the river at Burg, West and various other school in Ohio that is not the norm. Burg has four or five that plays atleast two sports in every class.
  21. IMO Hampton can make the adjustment, but I wouldn't pencil him at fullback. There are other positions that would suit better I think. There will be a learning curve no doubt. I guess if you miss Spring football don't bother coming to football in the summer. I glad see that negativity hasn't completly left Greenup.:madman:
  22. One sport kids seems to be a problem at GC. Juniors this year at Greenup breakdown two playing basketball, about ten or eleven on baseball, and five or six on football. All one sport athletes. IMO
  23. Hopefully, Greenup puts ugly loss at Valley behind them but, I think not. Fairview by 13.
