Ashland Team Camp June 23rd & 24th.

I think he has some growing left in him only time will tell for sure. He is only 14 and has a year of playing varsity under his belt. He played well against some bigger guards last year and this year and has held his own. He has a big test tomorrow in Fucci with Tates Creek. Here is what they say about Future. "You may have a bright FUTURE:but we don't live in the future. You are judged on what you do NOW". My opinion is he is doing very well Now against older 17-18 year old kids! Also not worried about size but does a few of these small PC guards bring back any memories or thoughts. Gary Barnard, Bobby Lee Wyatt, Jerry Wright, Jimmy Gregg, Marlon Gregg, Talbert Turner, Mark Mains and Timmy Cooper?? One last quote I like: "Just because you ball doesn't mean you're entitled to it all".You have to earn everything; nothing will be given to you!

I think he is quite a bit taller than that with much room to grow. You must have not seen him since 3 years ago. Plus it is HEART not HEIGHT that determines if a kid is a player or not! And he can definitely play and does alot of things that doesn't show up in the scorebook but shows up on the scoreboard. :lol::lol: How tall do you have to be to be a star in the future?

A few things from the camp. Harrison County Freshman are a very talented bunch and good kids. Pendleton County has an equal talented bunch of freshmen also. Throw in Monroe with this group and there is going to be classic battles between these two teams in the 38th district for the next four years. Bracken County I feel has a very good varsity team. I look for big things from them this year. I hope they don't draw Mason County in the 1st round of districts. If they get to regionals they could surprise a few teams. Pendleton played three games in row the last being Bracken County and looked a little tired. But still Bracken played well and out sized Pendleton. Monroe scored close to 30 points against Newport in a classic matchup. Arkansas Brewer (I think that was his name they called him Boo) was equally impressive for Newport. Timmy Cooper and Dylan Hamilton may be the best pure shooters in the 10th region. Cooper already has interest from Transylvania in both basketball and golf.

Varsity squads did not play for some reason. S.Laurel beat Pendleton JV in a thriller by 3.

I wouldn't be surprised if McFarland doesn't end up at Lexington Catholic from what I have been hearing.

He will definitely contribute and make the camels better. He has a very high basketball IQ and is a very unselfish player. I wish he was wearing Red, White and Black but I will still be pulling for him and following him even though he will be wearing the purple and gold. It looks like the 10th region will be putting out some top talent the next four years for sure with incoming freshmen McGovney-Campbell County,Monroe-Pendleton County & Prewitt-Montgomery County.

Congrats 14U KY Elite. Wow! What a weekend. These kids put on a shooting clinic in Bloomington. People from all over the Midwest are talking about this team and their performance from this weekend. The Ky kids put up 128 points on Illinois Elite in their 1st game Saturday and averaged over 100 points a game on Saturday. In 4 games they knocked down around 50 3pointers. Very unselfish players and very poised.

I miss the summer time Brossart three point and dunk contest they used to have. Any chance they resume this event?

Just curious why you think it will be hosted 2 out of 4 years?? I would think the 38th Harrison & Pendleton wouldn't mind the BOKC and probably Nicholas & Sugar Daddy's Deming voting for the Fieldhouse. I for one always liked the fieldhouse but now that it was held at the BOKC I like the alternative better. It sure was nice to have a great seat and actually be able to see the scoreboard.

I think if you have tickets for the game they are good for the Friday night festivities.

Should be a great game! I like Mason in this one though. They are playing like they are on a mission.

I voted 10th but I am excited to watch both tomorrow night. I am just happy the 10th region is playing in this very, very nice facility! A mini Rupp Arena if you will. What an exciting opportunity for the players of the 9th & 10th region. I bet the kids from most regions would love to play in this facility.

Any word on the attendance for tonights 10th semi-finals?

Scott by 18 plus. Deming keeps it close for a quarter.

Nice win and balanced attack by Harrison. Congrats and best of luck in the finals and 10th region tournament. Tough night for the lone senior Trent Moeves who is the heart and soul of the Wildcats. Thanks so much for your leadership & loyalty to the program. You are the perfect model of what being a PC Wildcat means. Best of luck in your future endeavors young man. You will truely be missed. I am glad I got to know you and watch you play the game as it is suppose to be played. Again thanks for the memories and all the hard work.:thumb::notworthy:

Pendleton County over Host Harrison County in the 38th.

Why would you want to play middle school if you are playing Varsity already? This would make no sense to me.
