I thought Pendleton County played very well and have looked good in both scrimmages. The Freshman point guard Mason Monroe looked really good and very poised.

Any word on how Andrew Cummins from Bracken County is doing? He was taken from the court on a stretcher from a collision. I hope he is doing well.

Maybe Clark "In The Dark" Francis and Brutus 14 under-rates Monroe. But the real people who make their living judging talent and further developing (college coaches) doesn't under-rate him. But guys who put out lists and sells them to anyone who will purchase them well that is a different story.

I think Monroe and the others would have complimented Corey. Anyway I truly hope this all works out for Corey and he gets to reach his dream of playing D1 college basketball.:thumb: I agree he would have been all region and 1,500 point scorer for Pendleton. The grass is not always greener on the other side of the fence.

I feel sorry for Corey but they should of known the rules. Another tragedy of a kid getting bad advice from his AAU coach. Cory should of moved back home or better yet just stayed home instead of chasing that 8th grade middle school state championship that didn't happen and is now costing him a year of high school basketball which is the game he loves.

I need help with this question and figure the BGP'ers may know the answer. Is it okay for Kentucky kids in High school to attend Elite camps and showcases while they are in school before their season starts? If so great, if not does this hurt their national exposure?

Pendleton County is the 2009 Regional Champions. Mason County finished second ahead of Harrison County by 1 stroke. Pendleton County defended their title at Eagle Creek Country Club. Good luck at state next week to the Wildcats and Royals.

Look for the Ladycat program to take off under the direction of new head coach Scott Collins. The Ladycats have a nice freshmen group this season led by Ashton Wolfe.

Thanks to the 38th District! Looks like the Fieldhouse will be home to the 10th region for the next two years.

KY Elite blew out Michigan Powerstroke by 25 points 72-47. Elite jumped out to 17-0 lead and never looked back. Ky Elite was led by Mason Monroe of Pendleton County with 20 points and 4 steals. Jackson Davis of Lexington Lafayette scored 12 points, 8 boards,3 steals and 3 blocks. Elite play All Ohio Red and Team Takeover tomorrow.

Yes all night games are 2-3 zone games. Day games are man 2 man games. Still 15-3 pointers is quite an accomplishment.

Crazy game just ended. Sean Samsel 6'0" senior from Louisville Manual scored 55points and only played half of the game! He nailed 15 three pointers.

Pendleton went 3-0 in day 1 action defeating Prestonsburg, Raceland and host Ashland. I am sure the boys and Coach Simms enjoyed the summer win against former Boss and close friend and mentor Buddy Biggs.:thumb::thumb:
