I need help with this question and figure the BGP'ers may know the answer.

 

Is it okay for Kentucky kids in High school to attend Elite camps and showcases while they are in school before their season starts?

 

If so great, if not does this hurt their national exposure?

Good question...one I have been wondering about as well. I'm sure that with all the knowledgeable people on BGP, someone will have an answer!

If a Ky kid played varsity ball he can not attend any camp once school starts. Indiana kids can attend.

But what if he is just a freshman and didn't play varsity ball?????

What about playing in aau tournment? I know there was a couple of KY girls teams in aau showcase in Indy Oct. 3.

I believe that there is one weekend in the fall where it is allowed.

Like they got a waiver to allow them to play or something? Seems like a clear violation of KHSAA policy to me, as team's can't start until Oct. 15 as I understand it. I'm not saying you're wrong, just giving you my interpration of the rule. I'm probably wrong.
