Haven't gotten a chance to speak with Coach Johnson this summer so I had no clue about his upperclassmen problems but we'll have to see come game time.

What happened to the juniors and seniors? Last year they had 4 would be juniors on the varsity roster(Mitchell, Shalch, Workman and Grause) and 2 would be seniors(White and Curtis) and they didn't dress any would be sophomores. Grause, Mitchell, White and Curtis all started at one point in the season. So my question is was there a fallout between Coach Johnson and his upperclassmen?

Wasn't Josh White's 3/4 Court buzzer beater in a district game? Maybe not the greatest game but a memorable shot.

The team Bracken County had at the end of the season wasn't the same team at the beggining. IMO they lost their senior leadership along with the competiveness to play

We'll have to see but I'd say no they won't get the exposure

I agree they must learn to win and lose as a TEAM. Which in recent years hasn't been the case. If they don't learn this it will be a long season.

Yes Bracken lost 3 starters in Jesse Hall, Tyler Hamilton and Ben Smith

Oh I agree Coach Fite is a worker but he has a young team and with any young team you will have your ups and downs

The key for Bracken County to succeed is to go out fighting every game and not to hang their heads after any game. The Polar Bears are a young team and I look for alot of players to step up. They may get beat alot but they have the talent to play with alot of teams

Ryan Kelsch has a nice touch from outside but injuries in recent years has kept his playing time down

38th: 1. Harrison County(Until someone beats them their the best in a weak district) 2. Pendleton County(Maybe the only team in the district to challenge Harrison County) 3&4 spots are a toss up but heres what I had 3. Nicholas(Really thought about this and I based this on last year's district game. Nicholas without Willoughby(their best IMO) and Wade and playing with what looked to be their future team played with the Devils and showed they still and fight in them against the odds giving them the edge) 4. Deming(Just not enough basketballs on the court to satisfy the players) 39th: 1. Mason County(My pick to win Region) 2. St. Patrick(I think they are the team to beat in the All A) 3. Augusta(Have a real tough group of soon to be Juniors but a tough district places them where they are) 4. Bracken County(Hit hard by graduation but I think the younger players will still be competitive)

I've seen Deming play a couple of games this summer and from what I saw they didn't have many upper classmen...As of now I think Harrison County is the favorite

Matthew Maynard. He wasn't the best shooter but he did the little things to score points

Things like this is never good especially when it happens to such a key player but this will give some of the younger kids on St. Pat's team a chance to step up and show that they can contribute. What I have seen of Owens is that he is a tough kid and hopefully he has a speedy recovery
