eccheer Posted August 20, 2007 Posted August 20, 2007 What freshmen will make an impact on the varsity level this coming year?
The Fossil Posted August 20, 2007 Posted August 20, 2007 What freshmen will make an impact on the varsity level this coming year? Truthfully, I cant think of any. I guess if a freshmen is making an impact, his team aint going far.
Plato Posted August 20, 2007 Posted August 20, 2007 GRC has a kid that played some quality varsity minutes last year as an 8th grader - I believe his name is Stensil.
4pointplay Posted August 20, 2007 Posted August 20, 2007 GRC has a kid that played some quality varsity minutes last year as an 8th grader - I believe his name is Stensil. Robbie Stanzel from GRC
Big Slick Posted August 20, 2007 Posted August 20, 2007 If it wasn't for him in the last seconds vs. Scott, GRC would not have been in regional final. Huge upside to this kid, he will be a star! :thumb:
Big Slick Posted August 20, 2007 Posted August 20, 2007 Forgot about Timmy Knipp from Elliott Co., I believe he will be a freshman.
mhighfield Posted August 20, 2007 Posted August 20, 2007 Mason County has three studs in this class in Jordan Gilbert,Neal pawsat and Treg Setty. With Setty being the best of the three probally hes the younger brother of trevor Setty hes about 6'4-6'5 .This actually may be the best Freshman team to every come through Mason beofre its said and done as they are loaded.
Big Slick Posted August 20, 2007 Posted August 20, 2007 That's a scary statement for the everybody else!
Kingfish Stevens Posted August 20, 2007 Posted August 20, 2007 Alex Malloy of Rose Hill. Although having some health problems, he started most every game last year. He is now healthy and should make a big difference.

I believe Timmy Knipp has reached 6'7 over the summer. After assisting his team at the state tourny as an 8th grader last year, I think he'll be a BIG force to be reckoned with in the next several years.

Corbin now has 6'5" and a 6'7" freshmen for this Fall who can dunk. They also are loaded with guards that resemble a swarm of bees. There are not many "tweeners" though. Coach McDaniels and Pietrowski will have them all ready to go this Fall.

How much does he weigh now?

STRIKE3 Posted August 23, 2007 Posted August 23, 2007 Let's keep in mind, the following....Rule #6 6. No putting incorrect or false information on the site.

The best freshman team to come thru Mason county is either Chris Lofton,Dustin Grutza,Jared Litzinger,Chris Hopper or Darius Miller,Trevor Setty,Jackson Tolle,Ethan King,Drew Lykins not to mention the latter won the freshman region without Darius and Russ Middelton was with this class until he was held back. The class of 04 had a d-1 basketball player,d-1 football player and a naia basketball player, the class of o8 will have two d-1 basketball players and a d-1 or d-1aa football player so the youngsters have a lot to prove. They are a very good group and I hope they can carry on the Mason county tradition.
