  1. That's what I meant, after that year there wasn't a whole lot of experience coming back. My main focus was Wallace has done a good job.
  2. Good luck to both Coach Cornett and Coach Mason. I'm sure the girls are in good hands. Coach Turner on the bench, WOW. That's enough to make the girls a little nervous, I haven't got to watch the Lady Owls this season but it will be kind of sad not seeing Wallace on the side lines. When he took the program over it was down and he has built it back to a top 5 team. he worked hard and loved the girls it seemed. Not only has Owsley lost a basketball coach but, have also lost a tremendous volleyball coach. Anyways, Coach if you read this good luck in your future endeavors, hopefully you'll be back on a sideline sometime soon.
  3. that should go to tell ya.... the 13th and the 14th is no comparison..... I know i'll make some people mad but KCC is at the top of the 14 behind JBS Hazard and Breathitt.....IMO, IMO, IMO Cumberland is middle of the pack 13th.
  4. Amazing accomplishment!! 2500 in a career is a huge deal. Congrats DeSarae
  5. I'm hearing Gary Cornett, current lady owl assistant and, Bobby Bowling former owls assistant. Whoever they choose, i'm sure with the talent they have will have a very successful season.
  6. This late in the season they should be able to break a press, of any kind. i feel that there is reason to believe PCC or Breathitt may not be in bowling geean. I'll speculate my reasons later. I'm willing to bet i'm not far off.
  7. Sounded as if Lee got sloppy towards the end of the game or it could've been worse. It doesn't get any easier for these two teams as Powell and Estill lay in front of them. I'm sure Powell hasn't forgot about Aarons 30 footer that sent them back to stanton with a loss. It'll be a great game Friday night in Stanton.
  8. Coming into tonight Siedel was 55% from behind the arc and 89% from the line. This kid is the real deal.
  9. Will Coach Banks make it through the season??
  10. Lee won by 19 or 20 I believe. Listened to it on the radio
  11. 1. I believe that they could get better. Hatcher is keeping scores low which is what he likes to do so he could get the dores' rolling come late feb. But, it is the worst team to ever come out of PCCHS 2. Like stated previously, there young but have a nice staff. there two wins have already surpassed what I thought they would do.
  12. I think there capable of knocking off anyone in the 14th on a given night. They have a real nice guard in Zach Hurt and my understanding they have some size
  13. Not a bad post. but heres a better one. 1. Hazard - Big Al...really all I need to say 2. JBS - Well, basically there loaded 3. KCC - Just playing teams to death, this team will knock some teams off 4. LCC - With Banks back this team will be a suprise 5. Buckhorn - I don't care if they are 1-7 look at there schedule. It will pay dividends come late feb early march. 6. Breathitt County - Still waiting on football players to get basketball legs. Will move up by late Jan. 7. Estill County - by far the favorite in the 56th and on a good night can shoot a team right out of the gym. 8. Lee County - There young, but explosive. 9. Cordia - A solid team. capable of playing with anyone. 10. Jackson City - Another team that can shoot themselves in or out of a game. 11. Wolfe Co. - Playing well early, but I predict them fading late 12. PCC - The worst team PCC has put on the court in years. 13. Powell County - Struggling early but should get better as the season progresses 14. Jenkins - Puckett makes this team capable of beating anyone 13-17 15. Owsley County - Lack of consistency still continues to make it hard for the Owls to win. 16. Leslie County - Things are real bad in Hyden. 17. Riverside - Lack of kids. Thanks to Piarist, Riverside will never go winless. Just my opinion. It could be way off.
  14. I believe your right. Even if a coach gets ejected they must sit the next game.
  15. I should probably make a thread on this but those of you that have been at the classic, what do you think about tomorrows game between OBI and Owsley?
  16. I was listening on the radio and seemed like OBI had Wolfe down by 10 or so with like 4 minutes to go. I'm not for sure though
  17. Owsley isn't a bad team. Coach Noble will do a fine job but, there is a difference in being a good middle school coach and a good high school coach. I agree with BBall king when he says that Noble needs a chance. Parrett IMO would've won a lot of games but got hit with some bad luck with the departure of Neeley and Reed early in the season. Then with the news of Congleton leaving for Breathitt or Lee early in the summer. he was sure to leave with just about any offer. I also agree with SFFL Noble is a class act. This team has all the ingredients to win, I don't believe it is bad guard play that has this team in turmoil right now. I believe this team is a little selfish and when that's gone you'll see the W's racking up.
  18. i'm pretty sure Wright started every game last season.
  19. I look for Lee County to zone the Owls to shut down Owsley's high power post game. I believe Lee by around 10-12
  20. Is there anyone on Lee's bench that can step up and carry the load in Campbells place
  21. Bball King, how will Lee match up with McIntosh and Reed?
  22. I've said it for a while now Owsley is post oriented.
  23. How did McIntosh do for Owsley
  24. Can we get a reason for the ejections.
