I think you are right, his money is from academics not sports. From what I've hear, he didn't consider playing on the college level until late in the year and wasn't advertised because of that. Would have been a good find for someone. JV at Georgetown in 07 - 08, who knows about the next year.

Owen Co. and Gallatin Co. battled it out with Switzerland Co. and Rising Sun Saturday with the Ky. teams winning all 4 games.

Nate Brown went 4 for 4 in the 9th spot vs Dayton filling in at catcher. The #9 spot has gone 9 for 10 the last 3 games.

That was the Dayton game the next morning.

Bottom of the line up is starting to look pretty good.

It looks like the Wildcats are starting to turn it around. A very sound baseball team that hasn't been playing very sound baseball. They have now won back to back games against rivals Carroll County and Walton Verona. Maybe they have finally realized that Basketball season is over. Keep up the good work Cats.

Not a Ref. but from what I've seen the last few years, some of the refs. think they are in the NBA. Maybe they are being paid too much. The game needs to be cleaned up but we have the KHSAA so don't worry about that happening.

It doesn't matter if it is 425 grades 10-12 or 570 grades 9-12. The point is there is a cut off. Didn't Owen get to play one year over the limit? This year!

There has to be a cut off somewhere and the present number has been successful so far but as a Gallatin fan I will sure miss having Owen in the All A. Someone correct me if I'm wrong but will Owen be the third team out after Spencer and Henry?

Should be another strong year for the cats. Lost alot but return 5 kids that started at one time or another. Next years starting lineup might even be older than this years (more jrs. and srs.).

I don't look for the top 6 to change much. Oldham, SK, Shelby, Gallatin, Anderson and SO. Don't know what order I'ld put them in but they all should be in the hunt. Penny would be my early pick for best player as a junior. Alot of very good seniors are leaving the 8th this year. Next year will have a different look.

Good point. The small schools should love the chance to see one of their kind win it every 3 generations. With the number of small schools in the state you could expect your school to win the sweet 16 about every 800 years of so.

If you point is that we need the small schools in the sweet 16 so, as a larger school it will be an easier journey, then yes you made your point. Example: It was a known fact that if was going to be harder to win the 11th region this year (and the seventh) than it was to win the sweet 16. You made 7 points and guess what #1 and #5 are the only true statements.

It would not be a surprise to me if LCA won the tournament... I seen them play in the all a, and it looked like they were on a mission this year.. The team is for real!

The real choice they have is 1. Play at Rupp 2. Stay home Ask a player from a small (Class A, AA, or even AAA) that has not had a player from their team see the inside of Rupp without buying a ticket for the last 10,20,30 years what they would rather have.
