It was timely hitting and a lot of it as the Wildcats beat the Carroll County Panthers by an 8-5 final. The Wildcats pounded 15 hits in the contest. Trent Maddox came on in relief of Josh Giles in the 3rd inning and went the rest of the way striking out a season best 6 Panthers. J.R. Davis gave the Wildcats the lead with a double in the 4th inning capping off a 3-4 night for himself. Zac Jones was named the Hometown Pizza Star of the Game for his 4-4 night. He along with Cody Perkins had a total of 7 hits to the opposite field. Carroll Co: 022 100 0 - 5 8 2 Gallatin Co: 110 510 0 - 8 15 3 WP-Maddox 6K's LP-Blankenship Scott Brown: 2-3 2 RBIs J.R. Davis: 3-4 3 RBIs Zac Jones: 4-4 Cody Perkins: 3-4 2 RBIs The Wildcats go to 4-7-1 on the season with the win. They stop the 5 game losing streak with the win also. They will take on Walton-Verona this afternoon at home.
