I agree there isn't a perfect way to set this up. Yes, there will be times a 3-4 will have to play a 1. I don't know that this would happen in most cases. However, being a 37th district fan, I can tell you there are times the 1 seed is happy if they don't have to play the 3 seed for the championship. So the chance of the 3 playing a 1 is there. I'm sure there are other districts that are the same. I like this bracket the best, I suppose it's because it rewards the 1 and 2 seeds for their wins.

I think you assumed a great deal about my post..... You are very correct, the little things make a huge difference many times, and taking a charge in completely legal, and part of the game. I didn't mean to make light of this young man's accomplishments. I give kudos to the young man for exploiting a glitch in the game to his teams favor. However, When it comes to charging calls, I've seen so many charging calls made with not enough contact made to shew a fly. Then the defender hitting the floor like they were shot. That is why I can't get excited.

Seth Dewboys has taken 52 charges this season. Taken 95 in his high school career. He still has several more games this season. Will he reach 100? I'm sorry, I just can't get excited about this stat.

I agree 100%. I tried to find an SEC type format bracket, to post in another thread. I wanted to use 10th region teams. I'm wasn't techy enough to figure it out. Good job.

You've referenced moral victories twice in your posts. I just went back and read the entire thread. I'm missing something. I don't see one post about a SK moral victory.

I wasn't there, however, the Neers are playing good ball right now. CCH put 70 points on the board, without checking, I'd have to believe that's not much off of their season average. So I checked, 68 points a game average for CCH, they shot 49% from the field, and 96% from the free throw line, with 23 rebounds. So they didn't seem nap on offense. Simon Kenton averages 60 a game on the year.(no stats posted by SK for this game) Could be, maybe, there's a chance, The Neers gave the Blue Colonels more than they anticipated, and deserve a little credit.

As I mentioned in the Campbell Co. - Simon Kenton thread. (I'm a Camels fan, so I don't think anyone took me seriously) The Neers are stepping up their game, and playing well right now. Yes, the 32nd better bring their A game against this peaking Simon Kenton team.

Not sure I'm a fan. It wouldn't be like the SEC tournament. In the SEC tournament.... 1-4 seed teams get a bye, and don't play until the quarter finals. 12 and 13 have play in game. 5-12 (13) seeds play in the second round for the opportunity to play 1-4 seeds in the quarter finals.

A team gets to the regional tournament by the luck of the draw, rather than by their accomplishments in district play, if that makes a team feel good about being there. Nothing left to be said........ I'm out

So the blind draw is a way to reward teams with a regional appearance for underachievement, while ignoring a better teams achievements. Got it. :thumb:

I commented why I believe seeding is better. Can you give your take on why you believe a blind draw is better? So far you've just stated you like the blind draw, but no reason as to why.

But, what if you're the second best team in the district, or you and another team are equal as the best teams in the district. When the two best teams play each other in the first round, and it's you that looses. It's a hard pill to swallow watching a team you beat by 30+ points go to region while you sit at home. Blind draw should never happen........ I understand that some smaller schools would not get to the region very often. However, when that smaller school is, let's say, the second best team in their district, and they draw the best team in the first round and lose. You take away their chance to compete in the region with a team that can possibly win a game or two. To me it's rewarding failure.
