Final. Anybody go to this game? I couldn't make it and miss the cats biggest win of the year. Score was actually 53-51, I acidentally pushed a 6 instead of a 5. Can a mod fix that for me? Thanks!

:thumb: In Henry County we NEVER see the pep band unless it is Homecoming or something. I think all schools need to have there pep bands. When I played the pep band made the atmosphere that much better.

I think it is a good change, but for the kids it will be different. Papa Johns is like Rupp in HSBB, thats all you dream of. Now you have to change your dream to BG, but oh well. I think it will be much more accomodating.

Quan can play. He is a freak athlete and could very well play D1 ball.

He could go to play basketball somewhere too, maybe not D1...but he is a great athlete.

I may be the only one to think this, but I think Henry Countys sophomore qb Luke Magness could def. be a D1 mid major talent by the time is high school campaign is over. Has anyone else seen him play? the kid has a cannon for an arm.

Thats what I was going to say. I dont think anyone here is not giving T the credit, because they are a great program. Everyone in the state knows the 3 top tier teams are Highlands, T, and X. Highlands would be crazy to move up another class because they are not a big school. If they were a large 5A school then I would totally agree qwith them moving up, but they are a 3A school playing up already. They do so much with so little and tats why I think they are the best PROGRAM in the state, not the best TEAM. And I live in the suburbs of Louisville, I am no way affiliated with either team.

Thats crazy! I guess you could say Trinity is somewhat of a dynasty of the 2000's. :lol: I mean winning 7-9 in 00s is ridiculous for real. BTW, the sweatshirts are awesome. I am not a Trinity fan, but I do respect them (and Highlands) more than any other school in the state. Conrats on #19!

I think it is better to have the non traditional teams in the championship. I think that losing in the championship means more to SK then it would have to X. Thats my opinion of course, but having T and X play in the semis essentially is the state championship...but at least another team from around the team, like SK, gets the opportunity to have that lifelong feeling of being in the state championship. I may be wrong, but to T and X, they arent worried about just making it to the big game. If they don't win it they aren't going to feel as good about losing the game as a different team. I don't know if this post makes sense, but its how I feel about it. I think it is good for football and goof for the other teams around the state. I mean, when I played high school basketball I dreamed of just making it to Rupp, I wouldn't have cared the outcome after that. I think its kind of like that for these teams that have the opportunity to play in the chamionship game now.

Oh yeah, I have NEVER seen a team run a set offense as good as any Jones coached Gallatin team. If they are up at halftime by any amount, I would put money on them to close it out with their wheel offense...it truly amazes me to see a young team like they are run that offense to perfection each and every year.

Geez, not trying to start a fight, as I respect Gallatin and Coach Jones, I just stated what I feel. I sat in the front row and watched the whole game and I do feel like Jones is overated, I am not saying he is a bad ball player, just not great. Of course I think Maddox is there best, then I like the Davis kid. I dont think Jones would be the best on Henry's team, but thats my opinion. Henry as a team doesn't play with a lot of heart, but I know one thing, Brad Taylor does play with a lt of heart, and I would compare Jones to him.

Coach Jones is one of best coachs in the region. I really didn't see the talent in this team that I have the past 2 years but they sure put it on my cats tonight. They are a very smart team. Maddox is a really good ball player, and I think the Jones kid is a little overrated. I thought the Davis kid played really well too. I dont know if he delivers like that every night, but he sure can fill it up from the 3 line. with all that said, beause of outstanding coaching I think they are a contender again this year.

Poll was a little lopsided and I thikn that the HC cats can pull this one out because it is being played at roy L Winchester gymnasium. Call me a homer, but I got a good feeling.

Thats not true at all, I voted for SK because I want them to win, and I think they can. I in no way shape or form think they are the favorite or that they will win, I just think it will be a good game and that SK has a chance to win it if they play a great game. Thats it with me, and I am sure 90% of people think the same way I do. Trinity is far and beyond the superior team, but I have seen crazier things happen and I am voting for a change. :thumb:

:laugh::laugh: I am only pulling for SK because they are the underdog and they are an 8th region school (I know its not basketball but still). Now if one of the players propose after they win then that would be the perfect ending :lol:

There PG who is injured is Pete Baldwin. Sprained his ankle in his last practice (I believe) before the state football first round.

I admire SK, and I am pulling for them strongly. I hope they beat Trinity, but my head tells me it won't happen but my heart tells me that this is going to be like the Boise St. OK game in the BCS a couple of years ago. I hope the hearts right.

Nice first win for HC. Does anyone have any stats for this game?

In the 8th I loved playing at HC when the stands were packed, which happened quite a bit for us. I also enjoy South Oldham, Gallating Co. (though I hated there rims), Owen Co. (Also, hated there rims), and I also like Andersons.

I hope OC wins, and I think they will 35-28
