Should be a great game. Oldham has been flying under the radar for most of the season and John Hardin has lost a lot of respect from the BGP faithful after the Doss loss. Two solid teams so who wins this game and why?

My prediciton: John Hardin's speed is too much for Oldham- JH-21 OC-14

Oldham has considerable speed on defense, so I'm not sure that will turn things in JH's favor...

This one is hard to call. I haven't seen JH this year, but know the system they run well. They're a good team and will be quite the test for Oldham.

This game may well come down to mistakes (penalties & turnovers). The winner in that department may be the one advancing.

Oldham County 28, John Hardin 24

I don't know why anyone would lose respect for JH for losing to Doss. JH will win this one comfortably.

John Hardin has had a terrific year, I don't see Oldham beating them in this one. J.H. 35 Oldham 21

John Hardin 28-14.

I'm sure the Colonels hope everyone sees them as flying "under the radar." For a team that beat the #4 ranked 6A team (Scott County) in Georgetown, and only lost to two ranked 6A teams (#1 St. X and #? Madison Central), Oldham isn't getting a lot of respect... :sssh:

Other than Trinity and St. Xavier, are there any other good teams in 6-A??? That's why they're not getting respect. Of course I know different, but most people are ignorant. Oldham has a fine football team. They're Mic is incredible. JH has been preparing for the fight of their lives. If its a dry field, Oldham may not be ready for that animal.

Raceland to the rescue!!!! Hey guys, Oldham Co. has been playing pretty well. I don't think you get to this point by being lucky. I realize some teams get to play the post season that don't belong, but week one usually weeds them out. I look for a hard fought contest and for OC to pull this one off. Good luck to both teams and stay injury free!

Chiba (Oldham's MLB) is a monster...made all-district as a sophomore two years ago...when Oldham was in the district with Trinity / Ballard / Eastern...! Has a promising career on Saturdays somewhere, although he's probably not quite the preferred MLB size for the main D1 schools...

I'm picking Oldham, but then again, loyalty makes it difficult to do otherwise :D but I think this game is really hard to pick. No result would surprise me.

Oldham's seen some of the state's best running games, but JH will present its own unique challenges. And I think the Bulldogs are playing with a bit of a chip on their shoulder, thanks to the Doss game (gee, thanks Dragons...!). Frankly, I'd rather see JH coming into this game undefeated...

Funny...Oldham County is hosting two Hardin County schools Friday (in 3A, North Oldham hosts E-town) Does either Central Hardin or North Hardin want to play an extra "for fun" game against South Oldham??? Might as well bring everyone up to join the fun! :D

The Raceland lovefest is on the move.

I think Oldham County has the ability and the personnel to really prove themselves in this game. John Hardin is a quality team, but I think Oldham County pull this win out and advances.

Thanks, Ram! I hope you're right! :thumb:

John's strength is speed. A wet field is their enemy, which it was when they played Doss. If the field is dry, I see John winning by more than 7.
