For what it's worth, http://www.weather.com is calling for sunny skies through Friday with almost no chance of rain. The field should be in good shape.

 

Gonna be COLD, though. High of only 36 degrees on Friday...game time undoubtedly below freezing.

Funny...Oldham County is hosting two Hardin County schools Friday (in 3A, North Oldham hosts E-town) Does either Central Hardin or North Hardin want to play an extra "for fun" game against South Oldham??? Might as well bring everyone up to join the fun!

Sorry...didn't mean it THAT way... South did have a year to forget; hate to see a group of kids go winless. It happens though, and we'll see how the freshmen / sophomores / juniors handle it at South next season...

Wow...not a lot of respect for a 9-2 team with a victory over the #4 team in 6A... :confused:

I think Oldham County has the ability and the personnel to really prove themselves in this game. John Hardin is a quality team, but I think Oldham County pull this win out and advances.

 

I think Oldham can keep this game close and possibly put them in position for the win. But if this game is 10 or more points going into the final quarter, I don't think Oldham will have enough gas to make a charge at JH.

When you get to a matchup like this one, it's really hard to make predictions. Both are quality teams that have had fantastic seasons. And Oldham has had three down years prior to this one, so people may be finding it easy to cast them aside...but this is a prolific offense that averaged 36 ppg this season, and is very diversified, with several good runners, a lot of good receivers, and a talented QB.

 

I just have difficulty believing JH will be able to keep OC to 10 points or under... Maybe they will - the playoffs are a goofy time of year.

 

Of course, it's going to be VERY COLD Friday night...we'll see if that affects the Oldham passing attack or not...

I cannot say that I know much about JH this year, nor have I seen them play. I have seen OC and knowing several of thos kids, I know that the talent, the ability, and the coaching is all there and they CAN win this game.

I hope OC wins, and I think they will 35-28

I think John Hardin is well seasoned and well prepared. Their playoff run last year will help them here. I actually think they are the favorite to wind up in Louisville out of the 5A West. I take the Bulldogs by 2 TD's

Interesting...both teams lost in the regional finals...Oldham lost at Owensboro by a touchdown; John Hardin lost at home to Bowling Green... had both won their respective regions last year, they would have played in the semis...
