It was a hard fought game for both teams! Gallatin had their hands full tonight. When Gallatin finally gets it together, they are going give some teams a rough way! I can't wait to see the rematch.

Anyone know how many fouls were called tonight? Must have been at least 50 or so I am guessing.... Typical night for these two teams.

One thing to point out to you Jeanie... Gallatin just finished football 2 weeks ago, so 4 of their best players are still getting the rust off. One of them was not available to play tonight, and another was coming off an injury from football. We can't wait to see the rematch neither, because these kids will have the rust off their game by then. Look out!!!

Walton has no inside presence that can handle Henson. He was a beast on both sides of the ball tonight. 19 points and probable about that many rebounds as well. If you look at the line from the game tonight, you will see Gallatin was pretty evenly spread out in the scoring column. Jones had 17, Brown 15, and several others had 6-8 points each. Way to go Wildcats! :thumb:

My thoughts exactly! I agree with you that the 8th-9th region teams are at a huge disadvantage when playing teams that are allowed to be more physical. It took the game from our kids very fast. They were hand checking, bumping them off the ball with there bodies, and just flat out manhandling them. To Gallatin's credit, they came out in the 2nd half and had a few players give some of it back to the Cardinals. All things considered, Gallatin learned what it takes to play at that level. Hopefully they can use it to there advantage and build on it.

Gallatin played Silver Grove today @ Gallatin. From what I saw, Gallatin played sloppy, but still beat the Trains all but one quarter. Most of the quarters were double digit leads by the end of the quarter.

Is it a scrimage or first game? Who do you think will win Timble or Carroll and has Carroll scrimaged anyone this year?

Anybody got news of scrimmages for the 8th region teams? I know Gallatin has a scrimmage today against Silver Grove. Would love to hear about your team and who they have played in pre-season and how you thought they stacked up...

Boone has there hands full in this one! Trinity is tough. I think Trinity wins by 21. However, Farris runs for 160yds+ in this one. However, I am going to be pulling for the Rebels to come out with the upset. 2nd time in two weeks.... Go Rebs!!!

Having seen them both play this year, I think the Panthers team speed may be too much to handle for the Beechies. But I do like Beechwoods toughness, and grind it out mentality. Ask coach Steiner if he thinks the Pioneers are going to take the 8th this year. I am interested in hearing his comments. Sounds like a fun evening, wish I could join you there.

Do tell now... The six you mention will see much playing time this season, however there are a few more roll players that will contribute. Gallatin still can go about 8 deep, with little let down among them. It is how the kids play together, especially this bunch of seniors, that has me so confident. Trust me, coach Jones and company know what they have in Sawville!

Everone keeps saying that Gallatin has lost a lot and there is no way this team can be bettier than last year. Fact is, they can and will be better than last years team. Davis was not much of a factor last year IMO. Perkins is the loss that hurts them the most, but even as good as he is, he is replacable. Gallatin's chemistry will be on display this year and you will see for yourself just how good they will be. The record may not show it in terms of wins and losses because they have stepped up the competition level, but come March, they will be the team to beat in the 8th if everyone stays healthy. You heard it here first folks. Mark it down!!!:thumb:

This is really kinda silly for all yall getting your dander up over a few words here and there. For all you know, these could be the words of some kid that is getting you riled. Kinda stupid isn't it? I used to be one of those that through the occasional flames now and then, but in retrospect, I felt really immature for doing that. :sssh:

Congratulations to the Wildcats on a terrific season! Let me say that it has been an absolute pleasure to have seen the group of seniors play now for 3 years. What an outstanding bunch of young men they are and I am certain the future is bright for them! Gallatin by 10. Both teams were absolutely healthy when they met in Trimble and Gallatin whipped them then, and will take it to them again. Go Cats!!:thumb:
