I read this thread and was confused?? I was like Walton played Gallatin! Walton played hard and gave a good effort, but just came up short! Mike Martin played the best game I've ever seen him play. Kirk played hard and had some good points late! The tempo was fast and sometimes a little sloppy but both teams have solid talent. Walton got killed on the rebound's, which lost them the game. Good win Gallatin! Can't wait for the rematch.

It was a hard fought game for both teams! Gallatin had their hands full tonight. When Gallatin finally gets it together, they are going give some teams a rough way! I can't wait to see the rematch.

This sounds like it was a great game. Are these two schools considered rivals? They are somewhat close to each other, primarily basketball focused schools, just started football programs so very similar. Just curious.

Going into this season they are 5-5 against each other in regular season games but they haven't split a season since 02/03.

Are you serious? If so, you were watching an entirely different game than I was. Typical Gallatin/Walton game, the same formula can be used for all their games; Walton's "A" game + Gallatin's "D" game = a close win for Gallatin. For once in the previous 3 or 4 years I am glad to wake up this morning and not see 15 post on here about how the refs screwed Walton. Both teams have major issues, but the good thing is there is 3 months to get them fixed.

Martin had a good game for Walton. Ponzer is integral for the teams sucess. Jones also had good game. Kirk threw up about 30 shots with only 3 going in, so I'm not so sure why Jeanie says kirk made big baskets late in the game. Sullivan made some big baskets when needed. I'd say Walton will be just fine. Kirk needs some work on his defense. It helps Walton for Palmer to play the defensive end of the floor for Kirk. Good team effort for Walton, but Ponzer cannot foul out. Think they need his defense, and they run the offense better when he is in.
