Slavey, Ponzer, and Maegley are SK's top players. Zach Layne would have been on this list, but he is hurt and probably won't be back until January.

Eminence has a couple good dual-sport athletes - Nelson Hedges and Ed Berry

Jared Carlton, Trent Maddox, David Henson, Taylor Jones, Scott Brown and Nate Brown and Zac Jones coming off the bench. I'm told that this should be a very nice year in Warsaw.

Carroll -

Alllen, Cable and Hendrick are all back and only Juniors. With the addition of our talented soph class we are hoping for good things.

 

Heard Welch did come out for Basketball..so he may add a Senior boost to the team.

I was about to ask if Nate Brown was a new player because it didn't sound like a familiar name! :thumb:

I think it is going to be tough losing the players they did. Perkins, Edmondson (sp?), and Davis is alot to replace. I also seen where Gallatin opens up with Scott Co. That is a really tough game to start off with. Why didn't they choose Scott Co. last year over this year. Wasn't last years squad better than this years?

Everone keeps saying that Gallatin has lost a lot and there is no way this team can be bettier than last year. Fact is, they can and will be better than last years team. Davis was not much of a factor last year IMO. Perkins is the loss that hurts them the most, but even as good as he is, he is replacable. Gallatin's chemistry will be on display this year and you will see for yourself just how good they will be.

 

The record may not show it in terms of wins and losses because they have stepped up the competition level, but come March, they will be the team to beat in the 8th if everyone stays healthy. You heard it here first folks. Mark it down!!!:thumb:

We will all see soon! I thought Davis/Perkins and Edmonson were pretty good together when we played against them last season..but you guys have a good coach that always seems to get his team prepared.

You sound pretty confident. I just do not see how Gallatin can be better this year than they were last year. I do realize they have some talent, but the depth of last years team made them the successful team they were. I do not see the Wildcats being near as deep this year as they were last. Gallatin was about 8 or 9 deep and this year I see them as about 6. Including Brown, Carlton, Maddox, Henson, T. Jones, and maybe the sophomore Z. Jones. Other than that I really do not see any players that can compete at the varsity level. Best of luck to Coach Jones and the Wildcats! :thumb:

Do tell now... The six you mention will see much playing time this season, however there are a few more roll players that will contribute. Gallatin still can go about 8 deep, with little let down among them. It is how the kids play together, especially this bunch of seniors, that has me so confident. Trust me, coach Jones and company know what they have in Sawville!
