Your thoughts on this one... Gallatin travels to Carrollton to take on the Panthers. I think Gallatin wins in a close game by 7pts.

SK wins by 17. I think Maegley is way to much to handle for anyone on Walton throws at him. I also say the pressure defense from SK will give Walton fits. IMO Walton has to shoot the ball well from the outside in order to keep this game close. Good luck to both teams!

I think Gallatin loves to play against the 9th region teams. We have played a few in the past few years and have had some success, along with a few losses. I would love a chance to watch a matchup between my beloved Gallatin County Wildcats, and either of HC or NCC. Bring 'em on! Gotta question for you Happymeal, of your two ninth region teams you listed, which do you think will win between them?

Ugly game, but a win all the same. They say a mark of a good team is finding ways to win the game even though you are not playing very good.

As a Gallatin County fan, you gotta like our chances in getting to the regional finals. I think Anderson County is the top team in the region now and Gallatin could be #3, perhaps even #2 right now. Congrats to Anderson County, and we'll be seeing you down the road...

I agree, the sunlight can be unbearable there at times. I have actually referee'd there several times working JV games and it is tough to see the play when you are facing that window wall. Doesn't help the image of referees beign blind!

Emminence is a terrible place to watch a game. Bleachers are uncomfortable and there are support columns about every 25 feet that always seem to block your view right as a big play is happening. :cry: I would much rather watch a game at Heritage Academy than at Emminence.

I like the chances of Gallatin County getting to Richmond for a 3rd straight year. Walton will need to shoot lights out and bring their best game to beat them at all this year. IMO the best chance they had was spent when they played on WV's home floor earlier in the year.

Penny does not have to score in close. But why would you shoot from outside if you can beat every single person who cards you off the dribble and just about dunk it on the big boys down low? I also know that Penny can shoot from outside. Last year i saw him hit two buzzer beaters, one of them to win a game.

Yeah, It's just we hear so much from everyone that we lost so much from last year and we believe we are even better than last year.

FBD, Mustang probably saw only one game in which Gallatin played last year. In that one game, Edmondson was a factor. It is amuzing to me to see guys like this post on here and think they know all about a team, or a certain player based off of one or at the most 2 games. :irked: Take the game against Holmes last night for example. If Mustang watched that game, he might be here today saying the Maddox was not very good. We know different. Maddox played very well within the game and did not force things. He did not have the big scoring game that we were accustomed to seeing him have, but he got many others involved. A true team player in my opinion.

Micah Pugh is a decent player. To say that he had his way down inside is in my opinion a farce. I am just wondering CHSalum07, did you even watch the game? I have known Micah Pugh for several years and he is something that apparently you are not. Humble. Good luck to the Cougars the rest of the way.

Let them cheer for Gallatin's opponents. They all know the truth, and not believing it is true does not make it any less true. The truth is Gallatin County plays well together as a team and they are a very good team and formidable opponent for any school to play. Much more than can be said of the other small schools from the district we are in.

What an awesome game to have watched. Gallatin gave it their all, and almost came away with a win. I think Gallatin has a legitimate shot to win the 8th in March. Coach Jones and the boys have made believers out of many of the faithful, and a few of the haters as well;)

Talked to Coach Jones after the game and he said he rolled the ankle and would likely not play tomorrow. Overall, I think Scott will be fine, just needs a few days to let it heal up.

The wildcats will need to play zone defense and continue to play team ball and it can be done. As long as they don't think they are defeated before they hit the floor than they will do fine.

Gallatin wins even though they played poorly. Way to go Cats! I'll take the Cats over the Cougars in tomorrow's game. Good luck Gallatin County.
